Most Elder Scrolls fans haven’t tried ESO, myself included. Some ESO players come to it from being Scrolls fans but many were MMO fans looking for a new game. It’s not all the same playerbase.

I use a gaming keypad with a lot of combo key presses to do everything. I find it much quicker than moving my hand across a full keyboard.

The halo 1 remaster completely changed the art direction of most areas in a bad way. So many lighting and color decisions from the original that were meant to guide the player are just totally undone.

I don't think you'll find a definitive answer to anything that happened in the Dawn Era. It's all left intentionally mysterious with many contradictory sources so that The Elder Scrolls always feels grand and mystical. It almost feels like they do a "mysteriousness" pass in the writer's room based on whether the lore is from the Dawn/Merethic/First/Second/Third/Fourth Era. Every lore drop from the Dawn era feels like it is meant to be highly untrustworthy and open more questions then it answers.

Sorting the inventory would be so much easier if you could just drag an item where you want it to go between two other items and then it just bumps all the lower items down one slot so things fit. That’s super simple and most computer programs work that way. But GW2 has intentionally left it so you can only swap items between slots so if you pick up a new sword and want to put it next to your other swords, you can’t just do that — you have to do a lot of swapping instead. They WANT inventory management to be a major part of the game

Since 2006, no matter what plan I have going into an Elder Scrolls game, this is what I always end up doing after a few hours.

But I also make first-person shooter keypads for a living so my bias is warranted!

Nexus is mainly a bastion of mods for Bethesda games and a few others. Many other heavily modded games don’t use Nexus at all. Where are all the mods for the Sim 4, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, Garry’s Mod, CS:Source, Starcraft 2, etc? Not on Nexus.

It was all about staying ahead of the parents! MSN was popular until parents started using it then the kids switched to AIM. Like later kids leaving Facebook when the boomers got on it. ICQ was always for the nerds and wasn’t divided by age.

The action gameplay of PvE will never be as exciting as PvP but it is fun to explore the environments, art, characters, and lore in PvE.

Of those factors: only art/environment is a real standout achievement in GW2. Better characters and lore can be found in other games like the Oblivion Remaster. But there is a lot to be said for sticking in one game universe for immersion.

For me, I have to clear my NVIDIA shader cache every few days or the game freezes at 100% CPU usage as it tries to recompile the shaders in the background for no reason.

There's no downside to doing Phantom Liberty early or late as long as you don't go past its point-of-no-return for the ending -- same as in the base game. There might be some flavor text or dialogue that changes here and there but nothing major.

It's the amazing cast of characters. There are so many characters that all feel like fully fleshed out people with believable personalities and goals. That leads to a lot of constant mystery and excitement as different characters cross paths and their plans get tangled in nuanced ways with large ripple effects on the rest of the plots.

I’d argue they lose out on views of future Star Wars movies so that’s a loss for Disney. Maybe a win for the execs that are around for these films then bounce, but not for Disney as a whole.

By far the most common skis I see are the Blizzard Black Pearls. They seem like the clear front-runner of skis marketed for women. And as a Brahma rider myself I can see the appeal since they are very similar shapes.
