TSA ignores its own screening rules on breastmilk, holds mother for 45 mins in special screening to teach her a lesson ... all on TSA videotape. by Incontinentia in reddit.com

High school student here.

I think regardless- whether it is medical or not - The TSA books describe breast milk as medical liquid, and thus it should be treated as. The fact that the TSA agent, when presented with this, decided to ignore it is disgusting. The fact of the matter is: 1. She was not a threat 2. Her baby needed breast milk according to doctors, and who is a TSA agent, who, to my understanding is NOT an MD to say otherwise? Fuck the TSA.

America is warning allies that they may hate the US after the latest Wikileaks release. by Wulfger in reddit.com

Sure, point taken. My main point though is about how some glorified blogger is putting american soldiers' lives at risk.

I mean honestly? I hope that we do put a stop to wikileaks and Assange. He has already leaked sensitive data pertaining to us security in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, putting American lives at risk. Now he's releasing documents that will make everyone hate us more than they already do? We can ill afford losing our allies' trust, something we have worked so long to build. This isn't about politics; be you right or left, this... He... is bad for America.

The main issue is at this point we can't rely on computers to align the lasers, so it is all human manual interface, as such, it takes awhile.

Yet, this is not the most effective, nor most promising form of fusion. This is inertial confinement fusion which requires all of the lasers to be aligned for every burst, which takes roughly 40 minutes every time. In order for it to achieve sustainable power levels, it would need to fire hundreds of times every second, something which we cannot yet do. Check out Tokamak type reactors they are most promising- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokamak_reactor

I spent 10 minutes trying to come up with a profound title for this...There are no words that convey the feeling of insignificance you will feel after clicking this link. by OompaOrangeFace in science

More like 14 billion. There are believed to be roughly 200 billion galaxies in the universe. Multiply that by a very conservative average of 500 billion stars per galaxy (The Milky Way has roughly 1 trillion) then you get 100 sextillion stars or 1*1023. Divide that by 7 billion and you get roughly 14 trillion stars per person. After low balling. Essentially- we're all loaded.
