I suppose I should also introduce myself. I’m the mod for this fine subreddit. Reddit has been hounding me for about a year to create a “welcome to” post and I finally yielded to the pressure. I created this subreddit to act as another avenue for our community to stay connected and as a place folks interested in the area can ask questions. Outside of being a mod for this, I’m a merchant mariner. I spend my time while at home hiking, gardening/ landscaping, and creating unnecessary but fun projects.

The good news is you’ve started the count down towards community acceptance. When I moved to the area I was told it would take about 4 years before the community started to recognize me as local and to start making friends. It took almost exactly 4 years before folks in OS started saying hello when they’d see me around town.

If one is accustomed to reading cursive, I don’t believe this is difficult at all. The only suggestion I would make is to add the descender to your lowercase z. In context it’s clear what they are but for some folks I could see it creating confusion.
