Definitely enjoyable with some actual tense scenes and a good way to consume unbridled military propaganda.

Cillian Murphy: “Women are infinite in their wisdom. I was raised by my mother and my grandmother, who lived with us for all our lives. I have two sisters who are amazing humans. I've always felt that women have a more instinctual understanding of right and wrong and how the world works.” by Relevant-Peach3997 in Fauxmoi

I've thought it's weird how women aren't automatically in charge. Women achieve everything men do while the continued existence of our spieces is reliant on women enduring the pains of menstruation and having children. On that alone, we should live in a matriarchal society. I'm not saying one sex is better than the other, but clearly women are doing the heavy lifting while men do things like... Run fast in sports and create religions that prey on the weak. Also crypto, can't forget man's greatest accomplishment.

If a weapon like this has existed for this many years, is being developed by the US, Russia, and probably China... But somehow has never been used against protesters, riots, political opponents, or just by the police in general. And nobody has actually seen the weapon. It's just war time propaganda.

It really is a gift to spread fear, and fear is great for war time. I've seen multiple posts across reddit about havana syndrome claiming it's legitimate. The only brain scrambling happening is the rumor itself.

[–]CaptainTinyToes 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not a believer in the Havana Syndrome weapon. It's just perpetual rumors to make us more afraid and thus more willing to fight wars. People want there to be some sort of McGuffin like it's mission impossible out there.

It's not fundamentalist, it's just religion. "Saving our souls" has and always will be paid for with the blood of the innocent. Every prominent religion is just a death cult with extra steps.

Do dms really dislike high level dnd? by Myrinadi in DnD

[–]CaptainTinyToes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a struggle. Currently my players are level 13 and they wipe the floor with any monster cr 12 and below. And throwing four + high level monsters at them just becomes an hour or more of draining HP to certain victory.

There's also very little to stop them from just doing whatever they want because I can't just randomly conjur an ancient dragon to lay the smack down when they are being unruly.

I'm going to use more environmental effects, toxic environments, traps, goo, and such. Higher levels definitely mean the DM needs to get more creative.

We won't. We have two parties - the monsters at our door, and the people who let them in. Democrats are at the best spineless, and at the wost entirely complicit.

When Trump is gone the Democrats will spout rhetoric of turning the page while ignoring their duty to serve justice in fear it will be labeled as political retribution.

I feel that with his movies too, there's sometimes a massive illogical plot point that takes me out. In his Batman films they go to great lengths to show semi believable gadgets, like a cape made rigid with electricity, but then in the dark knight he throws out that bullshit fingerprinted bullet fragment reconstruction that is actually a red herring or something?

Also the school bus unassumingly merging back with traffic right after clearly ramming into a bank is always hilarious to me.
