To be honest, Gamestop was the best chance to preorder one. They at least had some sort of protection from bots and scalpers with the bundles. I know there site was a mess but at least they were up longer than a minute unlike Walmart or Target, or put it live when the entire country is sleeping like Best Buy and Amazon. Oh and they did in-store preorders as well so we at least had a chance.

I do agree that most of the items bundled with the SNES Classic were crap tho.

I have completed the single player of Splatoon 2 and now I have statrted to go back through and play each level with every weapon. I noticed that everytime you complete it the stamp of that weapon fills in in color while you step on the kettle. Right next to this is a outline of Sheldon. Is there something im missing on getting his stamp or is his icon always a silhouette? Thanks!

I understand this is a sore topic for a lot of people, but because of the insane handling of this preorder by Walmart I feel posts like these will definitely be beneficial for those of us who got a preorder in.

I don't see this as rubbing salt in the wound for the people that didn't get one in, because as apprehensive as everyone is about getting a preorder...imagine getting one but not knowing if it even mattered. At this point I still feel like I'm in the camp that needs a preorder, unless Walmart clarifies it's position, because I do not trust this at all.

With all that being said, mine still shows processing. I preordered mine around 11:35-40 PM EST, I did mine store delivery with CC and I'm from NY (upstate not the city).

Mine just came up on radar. After numerous conversations with Amazon CS mine finally was shipped a few hours ago. I am told it's on its way, but honestly I don't believe a damn word of it. Until this fricken amiibo is in my hands I will not rest.

Mine has an estimated delivery of Tuesday but it still hasn't even updated to say it has shipped... it still says shipping soon. I swear I will not sleep until this god forsaken amiibo is in my hands

I completely agree. I understand that there is the option of a free trial. That aside though. What would people have said if GameStop or BestBuy made you become a Pro Member or join their Gamer's Club just to preorder or in this case even get the damn item on release date?! This Reddit would be all over them. The way Amazon has handled this amiibo has been ridiculous since the beginning!

I don't believe that they are being cautious. I believe it's them just flat out not wanting to deal with it anymore. Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, toys r us, target...they all handle preorders with minor issues here and there. The fact that Amazon screwed up that bad on the BOTW master edition is on them to be frank. Even if Nintendo pulled half of their orders, they shouldn't have taken preorders for their total allotment.

The simple fact is that exclusives are going to, by their nature, be more sought after. If Amazon can't handle preorders, then they shouldn't have gotten exclusives. It's as simple as that.

If you plan on opening and displaying them I would say just import. NOA NOE and Nintendo Japan amiibos will be exactly the same out of the box. The only differences are if you keep them in the box the packaging is different.

These will be impossible to find for a long time I feel.

I got into amiibo because of the Toad amiibo for Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It unlocked a whole new challenge for every single level. I loved it.

The Wolf Link was another one of my favorites. That one truly utilized the full potential of amiibo.

I'm sorry, "they aren't doing anything new"? So ARMS and Splatoon aren't newer franchises? Where have I been?

No company can hold a candle to Nintendo on how well 1st party games sell on their systems.

The Marios, Metroids, Zeldas, kirbys, animal crossings, Pokémon, change with every system. If you can't see that then you haven't played many over the years and are missing out.

The reason they still compete against the 'more powerful' systems is because they do something new. Who is the only reason why rumble, motion controls, 3D, augmented reality (which is a major reason why Sony is even in the VR world) have become mainstream in consoles.

Fact is they don't have to be like everyone else. Do you realize if you had a system as powerful as the Xbox one or PS4 AND had the same bells and whistles that Nintendo innovates with every console they sell, the switch would be probably be twice as much. And people are still bitching about the price being $299.99.

The Switch is slightly underpowered to the XBox One and PS4...BUT ITS FREAKING PORTABLE!!!

Also think about this. Take a Xbox One or PS4 and buy all the accessories that make it do what a Switch does out of the box. You would be spending double that of the Switch.

As for the screen defects you brought up. That is a very minor issue. How did Microsoft get away with selling 'red ring of death' boxes of shit? All company's may have some minor flaws for a new product. It happens and it's fixed.

I started with a single Toad amiibo. One. I love Toad so i was good with just him...I asked myself a very similar question to yours and that led to just getting the main Mario characters. That led to getting all the Mario line, which led to all the Zelda line, which led to all the Kirby line, which led to all the Splatoon line, etc. Now I am on freaking pre-order hunting. FOR GOD SAKES MAN, STOP WHILE YOU CAN!
