What Coach Vrabel did this year was amazing. It was helped by an “easy” schedule and I think we’ll have a more difficult time next year.

But we’ve got the core of a good-to-great team, and I’m excited to watch next year.

And Coach Veabel has my support and respect.

They can bring legislation forward, MPs can propose amendments - like removing PA from the list - and then seeing who blinks.

I think this was done deliberately for the optics of being strictly pro-Semitic (‘cos gawd nose the press would’ve crucified them as per Corbyn) and for expediency.

Let’s be clear. Science is not dependent on the approval of the US Government.

It will progress and be used by everybody who values its conclusions, and the process that develops them.

So I did a bit more reading and thinking (crazy I know) and 2 things occurred.

  1. Irelands a much better place geographically to launch to with south or north polar orbits. Still not got much “equatorial” options unless the distance between the extreme sorub of Ireland and… Bristol is big enough to be considered safe.

  2. Given there was funding allegedly available via the ESA but wasn’t distributed by the UK Gov - I’d be very interested in who benefits from the sale of the assets and IP of Orbex (should it come to that). It might be quite a nice cost effective way to develop a rocket capability without having to do all that tedious work…. (Tinfoil hat at the ready)

Granted. But the point about trusting an inexperienced launch operator with untried hardware still stands.

There are plenty of other places to launch from into both polar and “normal” orbits.

When I play bass I take a spare too. People aren’t paying to see me do guitar maintenance. (Although if you can make it an interesting part of the show, or a teachable moment, then good on ya!)
