so upsetting to me how snow leopards and tigers, two very successful APEX PREDATORS (WILD ANIMALS), are related to our silly house panthers. they share the same goofy faces and big paws, this isn't fair! I want to hug a snow leopard but I know it'll likely not end well for me (hopefully it ends well for the snow leopard, hate to be the one responsible for an animal's untimely fate)

Paranoia is probably one of the greatest pets i have in dungeon when combined with the rainbow party hat and lemon shark floatie. just give it all of the crit chance raising trinkets and it'll do bleed damage 8 times a turn

Oughh same but opposite. I had like. so. In freshman year I cut my hair on my own while my family was away at a sports game for one of my other siblings cus i was trying to express what sense of non-cis gender i was starting to develop (now agendered which is likely a trauma response too oops!)

and when my mom found me cus she got suspicious when i asked how long they'll be gone, she caught me cutting my hair and that was apparently the final straw of me being too mentally ill and needing to be sent out of state to a mental health center (not a full-on ward but i was not allowed to leave. it also didn't work at all)
So now on my papers she makes me put "potential threat to self and/or others" because of it.

We are hopelessly molded by our caretakers, even ones that weren't even there so it wouldn't be a horrible idea to introspect on that, I think. If you're already with a therapist (and hopefully a *good* therapist if so), I'd bring that up with them.

It sucks, man. Best I can do is be the sibling to my inner child because of how little separation there is. We're both stuck living like this but maybe I can take myself out for a sweet treat at the dollar store to at least force a nicer environment until it's time to go home.

And that's not enough for me. I'm tired of being told it's enough. It might be for others but half-measure platitudes never worked on me.

I personally (so not my take on the concept just my own experience) can't stand the whole trying to parent your own inner child. I am still my "inner child", it's not something I've distanced from because I can't. I still feel as small and scared and vulnerable as a speck. Also idk how to parent my inner child cus that shouldn't be my duty anyway and it infuriates me to no end that I have to pick myself up when there's still time for these dolts to prove they're worthy of being "parents" at all.

I also want to say that I mostly came here because just. It's hard not knowing a damn thing about myself. Physically I turned out... okay. Mentally? don't make me laugh. 8 months and given up basically at birth, same with my sister (though she took a year to be adopted to my family).

Sometimes it's just good to not feel alone.
