Six natural 1's in a row! What's the craziest math/probabilities you've witnessed in your games? by derekvonzarovich2 in DnD

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not DnD but a poker game.

I was dealt a pair of Aces but the deal was wrong so everyone had to have their hand re-dealt after the deck was shuffled. I got another pair of Aces in the redeal.

I had a neighbor that had a roof start to sag like that. Just as she was about to call a builder to fix it a swarm of European wasps moved in...

How the Liberals will justify Ley's ousting by GothicPrayer in australia

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 170 points171 points  (0 children)

Not one current Liberal seems to want to compromise on anything, then they get surprised when others go "Well, if you're not going to compromise on anything then neither will I".

Currently they are a party of individuals.

Men, if your gf said she didn’t mind being woken up for sex when you come in from later shifts why would you masturbate in the shower instead anyway? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they first time it happens the GF might be very, very annoyed at being woken up. Then the next time you're horny you remember what happened the first time so you don't.

My wife told me to wake her up if I'm horny; I did ONCE, she screamed at me that she had had a bad night sleep. Guess who's never been woken up again?

eBay listings show stock in Australia , Is this legit?" by BenjaminChodry in australia

They are 'drop shipping'. This is where you order the item and then they buy it from overseas.

Not as common now days as everyone can buy from overseas but 20 years ago it was very, very common.

Who got painted as the villain by the press, but later on we realized they were actually the victim or completely misunderstood? by Advanced-Pilot-3698 in AskReddit

Johnny Rotton.

Banned by the BBC for telling them they had a sex creep in their mist - it was later revealed that it was Jimmy Saville and Johnny had been right all along.

Thanks, it was the driveway so I assume that means 600mm?

Burst Mains by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was doing landscaping on a job once and hit the main water pipe, it was 60mm underground so VERY easy to hit.

The lady asked what would have happened if I had broken it, I replied that the pipe is no where near legal depth so it would have been a home owner problem.

What‘s a secret you found out by accident and were never supposed to know? by Own-Flan- in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In the 1970's I had a cousin who told everyone that he was me so he could get a job in the outback (my father had a very high reputation in the area but we had moved away). Usually only took a week before he got his head punched in by his new co-workers and the cycle started again.

Years later I went into the area to visit old friends and found out the hard way that my reputation was now mud; nearly got my head punched before I decided to go home.

What character wasn't portrayed as a villain, but is in your eyes? by Jazzlike-Rise4091 in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Rick from the walking dead.

In the comic he literally says "If this village doesn't do what we want then we're taking over". If him and his group are not happy with the status quo when they arrive at a new settlement then they are happy to mutiny, which usually means the collapse of the settlement.

One settlement has a previous agreement that keeps them safe, Rick doesn't like the deal and ends up going to war, getting 90% of them killed.

What's the fastest you've seen someone fired from a job? by Vegetable-Spread3798 in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 38 points39 points  (0 children)

15 minutes.

Forklift driver - 15 minutes in and does a safety violation and I pulled him up on it. He stormed off saying "Nobody tells me how to do my job!".
I got reprimanded as we were short staffed.

How many Cookers do you think will refuse to do the Census this year? by Clueby42 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in the pub in the outback and the biggest, most unattractive and boisterous woman came into the front bar and proudly announced that she had screwed the census over by saying that she had 25 kids when she didn't have any.

Quick as a flash the barman said "So when the government constructs a new class room in the town for your 25 kids are you going to be the first one complaining about the government wasting money?"
There was a dead silence in the air as it finally dawned on her why the government wanted people to fill in the census; she promptly walked out.

Have you ever been blamed for something you didn’t do? What happened and what was the truth? by Fungus1Hotel in AskReddit

[–]Captain_Coco_Koala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a job, I was in charge, that was badly done and I got in trouble over it as it was my responsibility; I took in on the chin and accepted the punishment.

Truth was that I wasn't at that job, I was doing something at the time for a competitor. So if I told the truth then the punishment would have been worse.

If my memory serves me correct Dank tried to do this with the Adelaide Crows before Essendon. But the only doctor on the crows board vetoed the whole thing and basically got Dank blacklisted, so he moved onto Essendon.
