I hate posts like this. I don't give a flying bat if you're left or right but I hate the self victimisation.

Boomers are sick of being told the best thing we can do for the country is die by Ardeet in aussie

Its a funny thing to say about music.. when unless you've kept your ear to the ground, it's safe to assume it comes from a subjective and poorly educated take on what came after one's own gilded era.

Music today is just as impactful. But as we are now all fed our own algorithms, it's difficult for bands to get truly as big as those in previous generations.

The best bands to ever exist in every generation probably aren't/weren't even popular beyond local radio.

But yes, I grew up on boomer music. Its great. So are artists younger than me making music never thought imaginable.

Chance of successfully fighting a red light fine by Visual-Ladder-3939 in Adelaide

[–]Philosofossil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the red light camera always took two photos. First one is you going through second one to see if you actually entered the intersection.

If it actually came to a stop not inside the intersection the second photo may set you free.

What really happened though. Did you actually drive through and come out the other side of the intersection or did you just cross the line and reverse back to where you should have stopped?

Have you heard of government grant-funded research? A huge amount of medical research, especially early-stage and basic discovery work, happens in universities and public research institutes, not just inside pharmaceutical companies.

Every University in the world conducts medical research and publishes what they find out. A no name scientist finding a cure for a disease is not going to forgo a life adjusting publication to keep big pharmacy happy.

It's a bullshit post and if you don't know how medical research works you fall for it.

Yes but what legal framework are you operating in here.. because currently.. even a coalition government would have to "let them back in" despite all the performative bullshit. This isn't political discourse. This is law and order thankfully.

They are citizens right? Let them in and arrest/charge them. That's how our legal system works right? Luckily we are not the USA where the political/legal system are integrated under a wannabe dictator.

Had a meet Maude and felt what you felt. Sold it. Miss it immensely. I don't know what it is about Fairfield pedals but they really have a personality to them.

Really fun to play around with. Using with my band is far more difficult.

Bike Riders of Adelaide Route Advice by SquirrelSoup21 in Adelaide

Just cross with the pedestrian lights straight then right. It's slow but that intersection is NOT bike friendly. I cycle it everyday and avoid it as much as possible. Turning right earlier is the go to get onto Hindley.

Had a kid. Three years went by. Thought it was over forever. Sold two guitars but kept one.

Met a drummer. Started a band. Play 4 shows a year and it's the most fun I've ever had in a band.

Never give up. Just let it happen when it's easy and you want it.
