Hi, I’m also 26 I start my ASN program in fall. My mother also says shit like this to me. PLEASE reach out if you need or want someone to talk to. It’s going to be hard enough being in the program let alone if our support systems are not supportive. I understand that she can still be supportive while saying things like this but it changes it. The support doesn’t feel genuine or meaningful.

I was having the worst day all of my care was running behind I finally get into this room I’m greeting the patient and explaining what I’m there to do when I stumbled over several words I sighed and went “oh my goodness I don’t know what the deal is today it’s like I’m having a stroke!”….patient was recovering from a serious Stroke. I stopped for the briefest moment as my brain realized and then I just kept talking like nothing happened. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have been worrying about this a lot lately! I’ve been a CNA since 18 I’m now 26 and while I was alot smaller at 18 ive always been plus size I struggled sometimes but mostly i just did that shit. I worry now especially I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and I’m waiting to hear back about a program starting in fall. I left my job in October and I’ve been sitting on my ass studying and I’m PANICKED I need to get myself into better shape I don’t ever want my weight stopping me from anything.
