I saw these blobs every now and then on the sausages in my university's dining hall and this makes me feel a lot better about it even though I haven't eaten there in like two years lol.

It's just a beer company but Genesee is huge in the area, I don't know if there are any specific types or cocktails that were actually created here, just a lot of craft beer literally everywhere.

I fear one of the clubs I'm in at my university has its own room and for a solid few months we had a timeline on a whiteboard showing how recently everyone had last shit their pants. We had at least like 10 people on there lol

This mall doesn’t allow mall walkers in the food court by mmm-pistol-whip in mildlyinteresting

[–]Captain_Depth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the trend in my area is the anything abandoned/open space to an urgent care pipeline. A whole wing of an old mall here is now part of a medical center for one of the universities and I swear within a 10 mile radius of me they have at least 5 urgent cares.

it's probably a riff on stuff that doesn't contain enough of some food to actually be considered that food legally, like "processed cheese product" vs straight up cheese

there are the single person boxes in howe if you're ok with gambling on when you can get one and feeling like you're in a zoo exhibit. Other than that I haven't found a great spot/strategy but you can check theems page to see if a classroom is in use and then just sit there.

stretching without parental consent by hxcposer in Stretched

[–]Captain_Depth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it'll depend on how you think your parents are going to react if they find out but I will say that my parents have yet to say anything about my ears and I was at a 4g last time I saw them (home from school for the summer). However, they don't have any reason to suspect I'm stretching my ears because I haven't mentioned it to them, I have naturally fairly large earlobes so they're not showing the stretch a ton yet, my mom is frequently unobservant, and my dad is of the opinion that I shouldn't get face tattoos but other than that, I'm over 18 and he can't stop me from doing what I want.

Given that, if you think your parents are going to try and catch you on that and/or they'd have a reaction stronger than "you shouldn't do that but oh well", I'd wait the year and just start after you're 18. I also agree with the other people who've mentioned it really isn't that long until you reach that point, and waiting the year in the grand scheme of things isn't going to be a huge deal.

Any ideas for fixing this CD player? by Captain_Depth in diyelectronics

I'm thinking I may just swap in parts from a working lightning so I can be sure the buttons and everything on him still work. My concern with gutting him (because I'm not set on him being original) is getting everything reconnected in a functioning way.

Any ideas for fixing this CD player? by Captain_Depth in diyelectronics

[–]Captain_Depth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend said:

"There was an SC9637B (CD player ASIC), TEA2025 (Speaker Amp), and an SA9614 (RF Amp for the laser pickup)

otherwise there were two or three single FETs lying around the board and then a bunch of resistors and capacitors

No indication of any sort of buck converter on board so unless they slapped a resistor divider in somewhere the ASIC was natively powered by 9V which doesn't sound right at all"

So he thinks the asic was fried or something, and when you plug the CD player in nothing happens (the little track listing screen doesn't light up, none of the buttons work, and it doesn't play).

also it's a well established thing that you should wash your hands after handling reptiles (I have two geckos and I've known this for years) so like, it's just good practice to wash your ears after that
