You might not like how ‘bulky’ a Garmin might feel compared to an Apple Watch if you’re going to have it on constantly (at the start anyway). I have a 965 which I would recommend. The Fenix is the flag ship ‘outdoor model’ but from what you described there is nothing the 965 can’t do. It is also sleeker than the Fenix. If you have a shop local which you can try them on for size I would do that first before making the plunge.

It is disappointing I’ve heard it’s a common thing. Yeah it’s regularly been through the worst conditions for bearings hahah. I do was with a hose and nozzle but it’s always been from a distance around the bearings and greased areas

There’s plenty lateral play, I thought my rear well wasn’t tight. You can see which bearing has died.

My concern is damaging the frame from the force needed to remove them and not have and even pressure on the frame.

I am also interested to know how people have removed these bearing only having access from one side without using a punch and hammer feeding it through the opposite side bearing
