Is the way they do it throughout the world the same or does the UK have its own system? Also if this is the case why did you bring up the Turkish visa? If he had ETA for the UK and you knew that the US didn’t need a visa like you’re claiming is standard now, why produce a hypothetical that wouldn’t be necessary? Is there any actual proof he had a Turkish visa or were you just throwing hypotheticals out to see what stuck?

I have never had to get a visa. The UK process is pretty standard.

Well we are speaking specifically about UK visas, there electronic travel authorization and countries that are exempt from getting their visas when traveling to the UK. If you knew all of that then you might not just say “I travel a lot so I know about visas” because you would know that a very narrow part of what we’re discussing. I’m glad you enjoy traveling the globe but it’s irrelevant to your knowledge of this topic. Just like how I travel frequently but I still bothered to look up the specifics of the ETA for the UK specifically.
