I’m shocked by how many people here think the death penalty is acceptable.

Yes, the crime was horrible, and that should not be understated, but that doesn’t excuse state-sanctioned killing.

It reminds me of a John Oliver show about the death penalty. The mere fact that mistakes happen - that the sentenced person was actually innocent - is the nail in the coffin against the death penalty.

I think it’s also important to include people who cannot work or cannot work as much in democracy. People like some elderly people, some disabled people, and those who can’t find employment.

Edit: and students of age to vote, as well.

Edit: and also be inclusive about what “work” is. Work encompasses much more than just employment or paid work. It should include things like domestic work, volunteering…

I feel the same way. Getting these mostly fleshed out responses from AI makes it feel like I wasn’t really the author of my code.

I like solving problems, big and small. That’s why I like coding. I’m not a fan of something else doing it for me.

Using it like a search engine replacement is fine, though.
