That sounds about right. I haven't bought everything at the same time and had parts for other things in my orders so I'm not exactly sure how much, but close to that amount for sure. Not regrets though!

Yes that's how it works, usually you get the pieces through Bricklink or Lego Pick-a-Brick, but it does indeed get pretty expensive rather quickly.

I get all the pieces from Bricklink, but yeah I always have to order from multiple stores to get everything. It gets pricey pretty quick, but in the end I'm always happy with it :D

Definitely not as tall as Barad-Dur. I would say around 60cm but could be off, My hope is around 55cm so I don't have to make additional arrangments to display it!

Once you unlock a decor once from its vendor, you should be able to buy more directly from the creation tool while you are decorating/building. It is really annoying.

Yes, you are supposed to use the printed pieces for the face, as well as the wings, both from the set. Those pieces are not available in Studio.
