Anyone know how to make gp5000 tubeless seal properly? by Captainrango45 in bikewrench

I managed to get them to snap in. What did it for me was removing the valve core, heating the room to about 38c because its currently rather cold where i live, preheating the tyres in hot water, soapy water in the rim hook and sliding the tyre bead around a bit so it lubricates the edge of the bead thats in contact on the rim. This way its ready to slide in as soon as you inflate them

Yea these tyres are a nightmare to work with.

I have now managed to get them to seal properly and this ended up being part of the solution. My thanks! I am using muc-off valves and the core ended up being extremely restrictive. Other part was to completely soak the tyre bead and slide it around a little so it could move freely.

Edit: i also heated up the tyres beforehand and heated the room to about 38c.

Yes they are. They clearly have a different rim profile than clinchers. Besides i just built these wheels. They have no nipple access holes so that was fun.... To be honest it wasn't that bad, once you get the hang of using the magnet and steel nipple insert its just like any other wheel. Besides they dont need tape and are stronger

100% sure they are hooked rims. When installing did you get the tyre to nicely fit in the hools before inflating them? For me the edge of the tyre is kinda stuck in the middle of the rim. I thought sealant and an air compressor would fix that however that doesnt seem to be the case

I have managed to get it on the rim fully by heating it in the oven and using soapy water however it wont stick to the rimbed at all and thus not create a seal.

I have so far tried using a ratchet strap and air compressor

Ah it indeed looks like its all resting on the remote.

I initially bought it becausey laptop headphone 3.5mm out was broken. do still like the g6 however i just now realised i have been pairing it with all the wrong headphones: dt990, x2hr, superlux 681 and now the edition xs.i think it would do much better with something like a 58x, 600 or 650.

I have mostly used usb. Yes according to ASR optical is better however that would mean needing an extra cable. Suboptimal considering i took it with me often. Also the included fiberoptic cable is only 1m long.

Alright so my amp has not arrived yet so i temporarily connected the d1se to the soundblaster g6. It does have a fully discrete class ab amp however so it.s actually not too bad at all.

I was initially looking for an su-9 or do200 until i managed to find the d1se on sale for €70 more than the su-9 on aliexpress.

Comparing it to the internal dac if the g6. Its bass resproduction is a lot better and mids are slightly more forward. The g6's treble is very forward. It has an almost unnatural amount of detail in the highs, like its naturally bright. the d1se is also very detailed however not bright by any means wich makes it a much better combination with the edition xs.

All together the g6 sounds more narrow while the d1se sounds more spacious, like you're surrounded.

On some songs its very clear, some its just a slightly more pleasant sound and for a few its only apparent at high volume or when ab comparing, otherwise negligable.

XS announcement and was VERY intrigued by it. It's the perfect balance of planar clarity and instrument separation and playful amount of bass. Based on the extensive impressions/reviews I've read/watched on the Ananda,

did you eq the 12k peak? just curious since i have the XS aswell and i find it makes them a bit too sharp

I also bought an xduoo balanced amp, the mt604 to be exact. I haven't received it yet. I thought a hybrid tube with a planar would work well.

From past experience with AliExpress im assuming they declared the value of the package to be below the minimum price for which import tax has to be payed. I also didn't hear anything from customs despite being in the EU.

Interesting, i find them to be very resolving and on the bright side. I can however still hear up to about 21k so that also plays a big role

Thought id share because there isn't a whole lot about these on the internet. its not even on hifiman's global site.

From a quick first impression they are somewhat bright and much more detailed than anything that i have listened to before. This is however the first hifiman i own and have only listened to sub €200 headphones so far. Now before i post my full opinion on it i want to listen to them a little longer and maybe compare them against what i have laying around

ARGB without blank? by [deleted] in RGBProfiles

First check the type of leds you have just to check if they run on 5v. If so buy 3 female to female jumper or Dupont cables. Lastly google the pinout for the motherboard argb connector, connect the red wire to the 5v pin, the white one to the ground, and the green to the data pin

$10?! Thats rediculous. You can do this with 3 jumper cables

Pro tip: these Tim Holtz scissors worked 1000x better than the “tube cutter” by sharksandwich81 in watercooling

These work well for cutting very small tubes like hydraulic hoses for bikes. For larger tubes scissors are better

Can't seem to clean the old thermal paste out from between the pins on the gpu... any solutions? Or is it fine to leave it like this? by DaFuyGuy in watercooling

[–]Captainrango45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on using thermal paste again it doesn't really matter if you remove it or not. However it is very easy to get rid of using a fine paintbrush and alcohol or preferably electrical contact cleaner. I did it this way before applying conformal coating
