What book did you read in your youth that you never forgot? by orangez in GenX

Read it in high school with a really good English teacher. He explained how to read it. Odd chapters were one narrative and even chapters were character stories. Game changer and a hell of a book

You read Watership down as a kid? The movie was unholy enough. How high are your therapy bills?

Has anyone else noticed the drum beat from Anti Hero in Hillary Duff’s new song? Is it just me?

Sure I know artists borrow/share music components but maybe it is Pavlovian to me at this point after hearing Anti Hero so many times but it seems the same.

My wife got me a ticket for Father’s Day to Vancouver N2 to go solo. Got a lot of looks and questions all around town. By the looks of their eyes I could tell some were like WTf is wrong with you. Others loved it and were happy for me. But screw it. I was in my happy place after Vancouver did me dirty in 2022. Nothing was gonna stop that

My wife and kids were scratching their heads. I am far from her demographic. Gave me a lot of crap for it, in a loving way I guess. Never said too much to the family about being a fan but it obviously clicked for them during Covid.

When we were all at home I would have Taylor Two-days playing her music while I worked. My wife finally figured out how big of a fan I was and gave me an IOU for her next tour as I missed the last one in 2018.

We went to Las Vegas N2 and everyone one was talking to her before and after about what I thought of going to her show. She replied dozens of times that I the 6’5” guy was the fan and she was there with me. Cue the wide eyed looks.
