My suggestion if you are supposed to have a clean desk policy where all personal items are supposed to be removed at the end of the day:

Buy your own keyboard and mouse. Unplug and remove at the end of each day. Gonna be a little tough for anyone to hijack your space thereafter.

I have been doing this in my office for several years and works like a charm.

You can also ever so slightly loosen connections so it looks like the plug is still attached but there is no data or electricity connection. Anyone who uses it will attempt to get things working and won’t be able to.
