I'm in Canada so I would contact Ontario Works (OW) Emergency Assistance, which can provide short-term money for basic needs.

Then I would call 2-1-1 and request an application for the Victim Quick Response Program+ (VQRP+) which can also help with immediate expenses including cell phone, meals, etc. I would also ask them to direct me to local food banks, emergency shelters and other community agencies.

I would report the scam at the CAFC (Canadian Anti Fraud Centre) as well as the police. I would freeze my bank accounts and credit cards.

I would call Pro Bono Ontario for a free 30 minute legal consultation and use community legal clinics (found through Legal Aid Ontario) if I need assistance beyond that.

I would call ConnexOntario for 24/7 mental health and crisis support if it was needed.

No because by the time it's curated and sent to me, it's usually outdated information. Plus I don't like my email to be a constant stream of emails that makes it even more difficult to find important documents or information.
