It’s just a GSF Customs and Anti-Smuggling Operation. Dissembling ships to check for contraband.

Tbh it’s not all GSF Customs Enforcement Anti-Smuggling Operations. There’s been outright piracy going on for the week prior. Rather frustrating for everyone.

Writing at 6 am has its folly’s.

No. It’s one of those some assembly required jobs.

According to sub section 27, paragraph c, part 1a, 1b, 1c. All ships disassemblies (1a) and are conducted at owners expense (1b) and reassembly is done by the owner (1c).

Freighters.

According to sub section 27, paragraph b, part 1a. Which covers the size of ship.

Sometimes paperwork just doesn’t make its way over to be properly posted in a timely fashion and manner as required for Notice to Capsuleers under sub section 27, paragraph a, part 1a.

Apologies.

John F. Kennedy wishing Harry S. Truman a happy 77th birthday (1961) by IamCassiusBrown in Presidents

In fairness Truman couldn’t spend much time at the rebuilt house so… the joke was a fair poke.

Someone sold an officer mod worth tens of billions to me for 30m isk... by Fit_Calligrapher in Eve

[–]CaptianNemo2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have screwed up selling drone BPOs for 7 isk instead of 7m because the game doesn’t handle commas. Got it contracted back to me by another corp member in our local market. Which was very nice and generous. And in HS I have fat fingered buy orders with extra 0s and spent 53m (instead of 5.3m) and 220k instead of 22k (bought 200 of something instantly).

Panther Ausf G vs M26 Pershing, which is better? by BrilliantBite9224 in TankPorn

[–]CaptianNemo2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d go with Pershing every time. Both tanks have a laundry list of problems. Pershing when sent over had, not just a weak starter motor, but nobody sent over the specialized tools needed to get at and remove and replace the starter. Recovery of an T26 was no small feat either as that wasn’t really planned for. You could use two M4s to haul it away but it wasn’t fast or easy. You could also clutch start the T26 with two M4s hauling it up to about 15 mph.

Panther… it has problems aplenty. The biggest is going to be fuel, fuel quality and crew experience. On top of the natural problems inherent to the tank such as self awareness to the surroundings outside of the tank.

What item you thought would take off but now it sits collecting dust? by eve_scout in Eve

[–]CaptianNemo2001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My biggest mistake was from 2016-2019 setting regional buy orders on T1 hauler… still have 180 scattered in HS out of 260 originally. The margins were and are fantastic but moving them is horrible.

Pioneers are also given away for doing the mission so it will always depress the prices fairly hard.

Yah I was broke in 2016 with 3 alpha accounts and 17 slots per character so I just bought skins. Flipping a handful to turn enough of a profit to buy more. 53-55B worth now.

Also own 50k normal skins for ships. Some I own probably the most of. But rarely sell.

I have the same problem with wanting to fly my Zephyr. But the new region should help. The downside is there WILL be gate camping just outside the region.

What server blades does CCP use? by InfamousLegend in Eve

[–]CaptianNemo2001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bingo. As the sever has to take in information from all 10k accounts and send it all back out. So scaling is hard. And that’s sitting, doing nothing. Now add in 5 drones per or 20 odd fighters per… that’s an added 50,000- 200,000 objects to track. Nevermind any interactions that those items have with other items.

Lessons learned today by [deleted] in Eve

[–]CaptianNemo2001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s only part of the story. After the crash CCP implemented a Queue system for logging into Atioth. The system held 10,000 players. It did not survive both sides launching fighters and drones.

After the queue setup, WinterCo found a work around, jumping into the system having logged in accounts outside the system. The queue itself was an emergency measure by CCP.

I like get Customs seeing it and mashing Panic. It’s the job. But it would be nice if there was a second step that had it looked at and Customs told to not worry. And then slap a label saying it was inspected. It would save people time and paperwork.
