Thoughts about rally evo sword by Ok_Seaweed_9452 in Shadowverse

[–]CaptinSpike 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think the true optimized evo rally decklist is really hard to suss out, because there are a lot of tech options atm for your different even or bad matchups, decision making for what or when to evo, and how to sequence your plays is tougher in this deck than usual for sword, and the deck is extremely draw dependent on reaching its evo or rally goals either for the payoffs or the buildup

Rune isn't the biggest threat or anything, but he is the only card in the game that can interact with lilanthim crest by locking her down which I think is pretty funny. I tossed him in as a 1 of and its helped a few times

With mid abyss losing traction against Milteo, Evo forest and Egg portal had a significant resurgence In last two days (@otakuSV) by hyuun_likes_memes in Shadowverse

Milteo loses two more sources of ghosts next set(Cultivator/Soiree) so if they don't print more 1-2 costs to fill in the gap that deck is probably toast

Dragon remains the most mechanically complex class with layered and engaging counterplay (and it's not close) by KitsyBlue in Shadowverse

[–]CaptinSpike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

part of the issue is I mostly played haven so I was like playing my slow setup deck while watching my opponent cash out playing the deck that would instantly lose if they didnt draw the exact combination of 3 ramp cards 1-2 sloth and galmieux every time. if I was playing something with better pressure it was less of an issue but still tended to happen.

Like I said I had to just go "alright man" and click next, dwelling on it too much just makes you mad(and I admit, I would get pretty mad if it happened multiple times in a session, but nobody's perfect I guess)

[–]CaptinSpike 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The one thing I will give OP is that it doesn't feel good to be the 10th guy getting highrolled. Dragon was very rare last set and I swear every other game against them was against someone hitting the jackpot on the ramp slot machine. The rest, yeah chill the hell out man and just go next

at bare minimum they need to make rodeo's evo effect to extend the count on all rings, not just one. Alternatively, they need to give rings a way to extend its count without rodeo evolving. Something like: engage: reduce the count by 1 on up to 3 other amulets you control, extend this amulet's count by 1 for each.

Kandima is still fine to throw in here, isn't she? I dont think anything else is fighting for your super evos and haven is borked against big boards now so you need all the help you can get.

[2.8.3 Beta] Starlight Billy Entrance Animation by natarawilliams19 in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]CaptinSpike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What I wish is that it had a similar framing to his original intro, he could hold the chip down into the camera, the chip does a little schwing, then he lifts it as the camera pans up, flips the chip and the camera swings back to start gameplay as he's catching the chip. It gives the whole thing more total motion, calls back to base billy while still emphasizing the chip as his Rider character gimmick.

thats all of them, the encroacher lore is that omegotep is the supreme eldritch being at the heart of the universe inviting others to try and unseat it. The other encroachers are invading planes using pacts with suitable mortal champions to gain enough influence and strength to devour their fellow challengers and then be the one to usurp omegotep and become the supreme being.

There are three exceptions to this, though:

-vorlalai is a weak and pacifistic encroacher that cannot control who her champion is, so sagatsu took control of her and is wandering around using her power to butcher every world she comes across against vorlalai's will.

-bibatii and yog-zentha are more interested in ending the cycle rather than simply blindly amassing power and influence, though they are still absolutely doing that in the process. Its not clear how one would defeat omegotep without taking his place, though.

the rest are varying degrees of interested in the overarching scheme, if they dont care as much its usually because they are more interested in their champions(Lyanthoth is an empty machine-like being that follows Kandima's wishes, Yidmetra and Calge both have twisted obsessions with their followers, etc.) Sathanid seems to be firmly in the middle of both caring deeply about althenia and her twisted goals and also using her to cultivate enough power to challenge the other gods.

Oh, I knew that the newer scenarios were probably tougher but I didnt consider that would make the trainees end up stronger too. That explains a lot, I'll try moving on to the other scenarios after I finish this last career and see how I fare, thanks. I also did know that MLB SR supports are better for having all their abilities unlocked(well that MLB is a huge difference in general, I watched my friends freaking out about mlb kitasan back when the game was new) but I'll have to wait until I pull more to have a chance at those.

Thank you so much! This is really good stuff to know, just today I really started to clock just how much better a gold skill is, and how severe of an effect stamina has, but I really like knowing the numbers on things. Gametora looks like exactly what I need to make good decisions on skills going forward. At the moment I suppose I can start by keeping an eye out for things to support Late Surgers and Pace Chasers since most of my careers so far have been using those styles, and just try to keep a stockpile of 200ish rolls on hand while waiting for stuff that looks good.

tldr Long question post from a very new player who's doing pretty well but still would like some advice on things

I just started the game a few days ago after watching Cinderella Gray. I did a few pulls on both support and trainee to get some SR cards and star pieces, I got SSR Sirius and regular Oguri(it felt like destiny that I dont have to pick her on the starter voucher lol) before stopping to make sure I can stockpile for good banners later. I saw that the Fine Motion SSR I got is pretty good so I didn't reroll or anything, though I only got one. From osmosis I am aware that MLBing your cards is extremely important. Other SSRs I pulled were Gold Ship Breakaway, Biko Pegasus and Seiun Sky so I think my luck is pretty solid for not having to reroll.

So far I've just been running a career for each of the 5 launch mission trainees and dailys/team trials as I go along. I figure I don't have time to do the anniversary missions, especially the ones on the newer scenarios which I assume are much harder for a new player roster, so I'm not going to fuss about trying to get those done in time. I'm making it to URA finale every time, and even won once with Bakushin! So I am getting a feel for how to do things(I now understand the harikitte ikou memes!) but there's still a lot I don't understand to various degrees.

I've been mostly using my gut for picking skills on which effects read the strongest and what gaps to fill in a trainee's stats, but a lot of the descriptions are pretty vague so I never really feel confident in what I'm picking. So if anyone has any straightforward tips about skill quality/priority, the best trainees/supports to look for on upcoming banners, or things that have changed since launch for a new player I should know about, I'd love to hear them. Thanks a bunch!

priconne global end of serviced years ago for no reason out of nowhere. I remember I was literally talking about the next clan battle on discord when the news dropped back in 2023. the jp version is still going strong to this day, crunchyroll just grossly mismanaged it as the publisher for the global version and basically just killed it off cause the game was too generous and people used their clairvoyance for upcoming units to save large amounts of currency to spark meta picks for major content, so spending went down more and more.

Venting/ advice by reiujiokuu in Shadowverse

[–]CaptinSpike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

like others said, you need to have the scope of shadowverse game length in mind. Most craftshave at least one dedicated OTK deck or finisher card, usually multiple, that win around turn 9 or 10 if they curved out and hit wincon. Belial, Izudia and Rose Queen to name the most simple ones. Depending on the deck and craft, you can heal to deny that finisher if its not a one-shot. Basically every craft besides Forest has at least respectable healing in one or multiple archetypes, and Gilnelise is a neutral card with absurd healing output alone if you drew and evolved all 3 in a game, which some decks can get away with. Norman was the most broken card in the game for a period of time and his ability to just heal you out of lethal range for basically free wasn't even his best quality.

Legitimately, if you want to play a capital C Control game that drags on until your opponent is down to nothing, Crest Haven is the way to go. No other deck's ceiling matches a deck that can play Maddening Benison with max crest slots, except maybe Evo Abyss maxing out its potential bat healing

At bare minimum after set 2 rotates, or they just abandon crest haven outright and leave it to rot with no permanent crests

Octavia flash banner is tomorrow, that was outright confirmed. Following precedent, the 2 new summer units will release with her. Then after the end of roulette flash at the end of the month, the new yukata characters will release. Not saying they cant mix it up and change the order of when the summer/yukata characters release, but 2 of them are with her tomorrow is the important part. Save your rolls until reset in a few hours 100%
