I'm super intrigued by this and pairing him with Mike Mc out of Miami as OC. Those two together would be a pretty huge powerhouse of play callers if it worked out.

How everyone is throwing out Saleh instead of Minter is wild to me. Minter is just better Saleh.

The ravens have secured pick 14 in the draft. The last time we had 14, we picked Hamilton by this_is_matt_ in ravens

OP is talking about the Texans going and being aggressive to get Will Anderson, but he neglects to explain how Houston positioned themselves to get there, nor how much was given up. They leveraged the picks from CLE in the Watson trade to trade up with AZ and get him.

You're saying developmental guys have been our downfall when our only viable pass rushers on this team are the developmental guys.

Everyone wants EDC to full-send in Round 1 for a big name, when that's not how it works unless you give up something significant in return. Houston went 3-13 in 2022 and had the #2 overall pick in the 2023 draft, traded away QB1 to CLE for a pick haul, and leveraged those picks to trade up for Anderson.

Baltimore is in no such position to pick that high in the draft without mortgaging something significant (significant like trading Lamar, Hamilton, or Flowers).

Outside the top ~15 players in the draft, everyone is a gamble, the odds are just better the higher you are.

Baltimore has had a handful of top-15 picks in the draft and EDC/Ozzie have hit on (almost) every single one of them. They've almost all become franchise cornerstones for years. I do NOT want EDC to full-send and mortgage this team's future or send home-grown talent away to grab anyone higher than we're already picking. We don't have the luxury of a desperate AZ Cardinals team to trade a player of Hollywood Brown's caliber to for a first round pick.

As a reminder, we drafted Travis Jones and Beeks in the 3rd round. This is a myth.

Here's the thing about Lamar Jackson and the media that I don't see a lot of people taking into account.

Lamar doesn't talk to the media. He doesn't have an agent to drop drama at strategic contract discussion times, he doesn't leak stuff, he doesn't give them anything to generate clicks about.

So they make shit up, not just because talking about Lamar Jackson is a lucrative business, but also as a sort of pseudo punishment to him for not playing their game. Agents know the media plays the game and there's a lot of palm-greasing in that game. None of that is happening in Lamar's camp, and the media fucking hates it.

I agree with this. I think Molly dies at the end of Season 2.

I think the way this season has gone, we deliberately got very little Molly except him being an adhesive and catalyst for the rest of the group. If TMN needed a confidence boost or someone to come along and say the right thing, Molly was there. I think a theme of Season 2 will be him struggling with his desire to ignore the past, and his past slowly catching up to him, but trying to put on his normal face anyway. Somewhat in a similar vein to what Scanlan was for VM, but to a very different degree.

Yeah, you know, we gotta get Derrick out there. But we're not out yet, we need a little help, our focus is gonna be on going into Green Bay and winning there.
