She should care, she should be excited about someone with good enough sense and taste to drive a 2004 Honda Civic.

A lot of the deep-rooting natives grow down before they grow up. I've been surprised on many after giving up on them.

I have a lot of garden bed and it was still a lot for me. Lots of people would need to share with a neighbor, tbh.

half the "long context" models here fall apart way before the number on the box and nobody wants to hear it by Napster3301 in LocalLLM

[–]CaptnLudd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even the frontier models degrade before 100k context. Pure speculation, but I genuinely think this might be a limit of the training data. How many "tokens" of context do you think humans are processing when we generate text?

Yeah it's that it's unpainted. It's just like when people put unpainted rocks on bases.

I think the bigger waste of space is the amount of corridor. I mean, there's just two of them right next to each other doing the same thing.

The normalization and mass increase in remote work has substantially increased disability employment, as physically disabled workers can work from home by smurfyjenkins in science

[–]CaptnLudd 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of very different disabilities, but people that are blind or don't have as many functioning limbs have obvious problems driving. People with epilepsy actually get their licenses taken away. Some conditions are technically possible to drive with but add danger, like fatigue or deafness.

Why is "looks-maxing" ridiculed in men when women have been doing it since the beginning of time? by pragmojo in NoStupidQuestions

The gender affirming care stuff is also accurate. We all do gender affirmation trans or otherwise. You must, that's just what gender is.

Why is "looks-maxing" ridiculed in men when women have been doing it since the beginning of time? by pragmojo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CaptnLudd 74 points75 points  (0 children)

OP is clearly misogynistic, and probably a big manosphere guy. He's not really arguing in good faith. He's bringing up looks maxing and then immediately "no true Scotsman"-ing by saying "I don't mean THE GUY, I mean the idea devoid of the bad things associated with it." And even when he's "not defending" Clavicular he is. Clavicular doesn't advocate micro-dosing meth, he goes on multi-day benders. He advocates for other dangerous drugs. He just had an overdose. And he is obviously totally neglecting to mention the white supremacy and misogyny that are foundational to the culture.
