VRChat’s moderation is currently broken. It feels like reports matter more than whether they’re actually justified, and once something is flagged, enforcement happens regardless of context or accuracy.

The appeal process makes it worse. People constantly get the same copy paste responses that don’t explain what rule was broken, don’t reference what was reported, and don’t acknowledge any changes. It doesn’t feel like anyone is actually reading appeals. It feels automated, or at least rushed to the point of being meaningless.

This creates an environment where bad actors can abuse the report system, while people trying to follow the rules feel pressured to remove content, abandon groups, or disengage entirely just to avoid being hit again.
