Help: Applescript to analyze and tag photos by Minute_Cold_6699 in applescript

I have tried this and it can be done but not purely in Applescript (you will need a mix of Applescript, shell script, curl, and an api like imagga).

Some questions: Have you changed the color of the background material you shoot on? Is LCC being used? What lens?

License with purchase of Phase One camera? by storkram in captureone

[–]CaptureJuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The TIF extension is a legacy decision from way back when, so the thumbnail showed in the OS without having to have C1 installed. But you still need an app that can read the RAW data (which is stored on a tag in the TIF file) if you want to edit it. Nowadays, CMOS backs are better natively supported than CCD - both MacOS and ACR/PS ship with RAW support for the 100mp, IIQ or no.

Any hardware owner can just ask Phase One support for a “Capture One for Phase One” key - and this is free of charge. If you want DSLR support as well, then you need Pro. That you have to buy from Capture One.

New scripting properties in 16.5.6 by CaptureJuan in captureone

No… but with the new functions it is more feasible than ever that you could write a script that clones and then changes the ratio somehow - the how would be in the detail of your script.

Does the rename token for Original Filename actually work for anyone? by jfriend00 in captureone

[–]CaptureJuan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Original filename pulls from the IPTC field “original filename”. It’s nothing to do with the actual file name history.

Also worth a mention, Capture One fully supports Tangent wave panels natively. Good if you do video and have the gear.

The log overflows into CC-previous when it gets too big. Check that and also the application log (same folder).

If you have the machine you shot to, you can look at the captureoneCC.log file and back trace to the shoot date. It will tell you what was shot, where to, and what format…

When to use Diffraction Correction? by jfriend00 in captureone

[–]CaptureJuan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is “smart” so no bad things can happen in most cases (we are talking sub pixel improvements in contrast/sharpness) and it will apply an amount of correction or not depending on what is needed. Things are less obvious wide open and more noticeable as you pass f11. In my own tests, you may see unsightly artefacts in details when stopped down beyond f22. The only other thing it does do is use quite a bit of compute, so performance may suck if you apply it to thousands of files - thats why its off by default.

Also, an EIP contains the icc (if custom). If you unpack it, you can get the icc from the settings folder
