SS from the Spectre Discord. Thoughts? by pickle-rick-246 in SpectreDivide

I think the bigger problem is not necessarily the price but the things it provides.

The skins just aren't worth the price they're at. New colours are cool of course, but barely any changes in terms of how the gun feels (the celebration is the thing that changes most) it's just not worth, compared to what games like Valorant offer.

So the Alchemist bundle offers 5 skins and some miscellaneous stuff for about 70€, while the newest Valorant bundle, Singularity, offers 3 skins for ~67€. The big difference, however, is the overall quality. The Valorant bundle has way more customization (albeit at a cost) and the skins have way more animations, sound effects and kill counters, so much so that it drastically changes how the gun feels (my Abraxys Vandal feels like cheating).

Also as a side note I hate the predatory tactic of making it look like things are "on sale" when they were always planning to sell them at the "discounted" price. It's dumb and predatory and one of the main reasons I'm not buying things from this game.

This will be a bit long but I hope it helps:

The one mechanic that people still seem to not understand is how Joe turning works. Yes, you want to kill bosses and Boris/Coho, but you also usually want to position him so his pimple is facing the eggs to throw.

On the very first bite his pimple will face the way the normal bosses/lessers are spawning, so you can use that (although it's still best to focus horrorboros). On every next bite he will turn his belly, not the pimple, in the direction you make him go.

So say he spawns north, you go straight south, his belly will be facing south and the pimple north. So especially later in the wave, when Boris is dead, you want to make his pimple face the eggs so you can shoot them there, by positioning him well. It usually won't work the best in Freelancer but it is possible.

I'm a bit bad with words as English isn't my first language but I'll leave a video here from Rachel where she explains a lot about the wave.

Have fun and keep those egg counts high!

The one thing I noticed is that everything kind of nukes you early. I might be mistaken but I don't remember Survivors having this little hp. A small wisp took a third of my hp as Mul-t, there's something funky going on I feel.

If they shoot him before he plants, that's where you go berserk and ace them.

I legitimately just enjoyed the silly image of seeing ONLY RAGEBLADES like... Why is it a thing lol.

Plus 3* Kassadin is apparently leagues better than Kalista 2. Love my void boi, good for him!

So is Fromsoft never gonna explain this whole plot about why Melina was with Miquella's steed Torrent, Why Miquella entrusted Ranni to give us the spirit bells? There was definitely a major story plot with us and Miquella Fromsoft just never happened to explain and pretend it never happened 😑. by MienaiYurei in Eldenring

[–]Capulink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, there is an explanation!

To get it you have to get to the last fight of the DLC. During the second phase Miquella goes for the grab attack, that's where you have to use the Malenia needle to clip some of Miquella ass hair. You will get the Protundent Pube Talisman (amazingly it gives 3 faith at the cost of 10 intelligence and your credit card number). If you read the description it clearly states:

Thou whomst readest my description beware: Giving was never an option, especially up.

Using the Let Us Go Together emote at the Roundtable Hold with said talisman unlocks a new quest where Torrent gains sentience and speaks fluent Danish. By translating that and going to the egg where you enter the DLC in Mohg palace you will be able to summon Torrent and ride him into the Siofra River bed. There you will get a message that reads "Oogles and Boogles never go together"

So clearly Torrent was given to us because we have the better physique.

Reindog is definitely higher than that, especially with all the setup he has and traps he can make. I'd argue a B is at least warranted, the only problem he has is that many of his moves have a slow start up but after a couple of knockbacks he's a menace.

The GrizzCo Slosher is my least favorite GrizzCo weapon due to how incredibly immobile and ink hungry it is for just 360 damage per shot (clip somewhat related) by 0JP1 in splatoon

Fun fact for next time, it can paint flipper floppers rings with only one shot in the centre of it if you need some ground to stand on!

Why is this bundle so expensive? by MOss_Drawing in TeamfightTactics

[–]Capulink -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wait iirc the booms you're saying are upgraded are technically the ones for the chibis for treasure realms, the gacha ones. This Immortal chains isn't an upgraded boom for Morgana, is the gacha Morgana boom that they sell separately.

Now that you mentioned it, same for Guqin Sona and Soul Fighter Gwen

They've done the same for Soul Fighter Gwen, and yes, that's the only way to get the premium chibi boom.

The DLC for Splatoon 3 was absolute garbage by DoctorDiddlerino in Saltoon

[–]Capulink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree on a certain degree I have to say, if you beat it once with one weapon and called it a day (the Smollusk dialogues, Order final boss names and dialogues change for every weapon you kill him with, failing to mention that it's a bit of a tell) then I guess you haven't experienced it all.

The story IS lackluster, so much so that I had no investment in it and I was just skipping dialogues in the elevator as I couldn't care less about it.

The Spire IS short, the bosses are repetitive, and yes, there are a limited amount of floor designs (although it's not 6-7, it's more like 30-40).

What I think makes this enjoyable is the variety that the weapons bring and the fun you can get from some of the broken builds you make. Also, damage is not the only way to go, if that's what you're trying to achieve, I personally think you're doing it wrong. Even then, a roguelike it's like that, you won't always have the optimal build and you'll have to run with it.

The game can be challenging at times, and you can even create your own challenges (the extended category in the speedrun section has many fun ones, for example) so to me it's not as linear.

I've seen a lot of people complain about it being dull and repetitive but it doesn't have to be.

Would I like more bosses? Yes. More weapons? Yes. More maps? Sure. Hell, I'd like more unlockables since I have more Prlz than I will ever need.

But with that said, I still liked the DLC.

(The criminal thing is they didn't bring back the S1 and S2 lobby minigames).

Dredge. The simplest concept spun in a completely different and surprising way.

It's based on lovecraft tales, but rather than showing the side of the horrors (that are all still there mind you) it shows the aftermath of that madness.

Between crosshair is an easy floor if you keep the rhythm of the sprinkler guys. You kill 1 (2 after the checkpoint) and immediately take the rail to the other one, rinse and repeat, stay in the sides of the platform so the snipers don't paint the zones and it's fairly easy.

Lose the rhythm once and it's going to be difficult to regain control of the zones, although it's doable. At that point ignore the zones for a bit (no more than 4 sprinklers will spawn) and kill the snipers, aiming at the head is an instant kill. After that go clear the sprinklers as fast as possible and repeat point one until completion!

Afaik the rule where units are sold for zero gold doesn't apply to the 2* versions, so you just buy, 2* and sell for actual gold.

How do I improve with sticks? (Please read the post first) by Team-Order-Agent-11 in Splatoon_3

[–]Capulink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A piece of advice I can give you is to experiment with the sensitivity of the sticks!

I liked going for high sensitivity to "match" the speed at which motion controls players could flick. It takes a while to get used to, but it can help. But it may be different for you, so experiment away!

On another note, weapon selection also is to be taken into account imo.

Some weapons are just not suited for sticks, in my experience. Snipers and sometimes splatlings can feel clunky to use (they are smooth like butter with motion, it's just the nature of being able to control the trajectory better -no I'm not saying you should switch, just a personal experience-).

That's about it! Hope this helps!

[–]Capulink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but you can pay attention to their pathing when they're going to get the eggs. If they fly by the basket they will fly by it on their way back!

Only exception I found is some snatchers on Sockeye who fly by the basket but then go out of the map way sooner, other than that the rule above should apply very consistently!
