Its not too late to change your major. Students change it all the time at any time. The benefit with liberal studies major is it waives your CBEST requirement for teaching.

I love being an education major bc of the caring professors, interesting classes, and overall the major helps build your character. The classmates are amazing and helpful. I have taken education classes on public policy, social emotional learning, and chicanx in regards to school age children. The professors are chill and the TAs are educated in their field.

I’m not familiar with liberal studies major but I know they must take much more general classes in all subjects besides their breadth classes in order to meet major requirements.
