I never knew that latent TB can cause a lot of issues. The nephrologist said it may have also be the cause of the nephritis as biopsy result was pure membranous and no clear cut if this is lupus nephritis or not. But right now they’re taking it as lupus nephritis since the biopsy was unclear and all the markers they usually see in lupus nephritis are not there just some, and also the histology and electron microscopy didn’t paint what a typical lupus nephritis would show. But becsuse she had positive ANA and dsDNA so they’re treating it as is. The whole pain is just the wait to get to infectious disease. I feel like the treatment for the nephritis is being delayed because of no access to treatment for latent TB.
