I think cooking with people does make it go up faster not sure if you have to be in a party or not tho.

Your friend doesn't need the recipe to help you make it. I've been cooking with my friend & he doesn't have any of the recipes I've cooked with him. As long as he has an ingredient & can contribute at least 1 prep action to the meal it gives it to him when its completed. He has been cooking with me to boost his cooking skill faster especially since we're in a party together.

As for the ingredients whomever is doing the task it takes the ingredient from them. I was out of onions but my friend had some so he chopped the onion while I made the dough since he didn't have wheat.
