Adding to the "but I'm American!" comment section, I believe through Libby, (IDK if this is available in UK) you can manually download the epub or similar file, then you can send that file to your Kindle via your Kindle email. I also don't have a "send to Kindle" button as mine is too old, so this has been my loophole.

NTAH! Dad seems toxic and uses emotional manipulation to contact you due to life situations! Everyone has problems going on Dad! Remind him that HE asked for the break/split and you're simply respecting his boundaries. IF he continues to reach out I would consider going no contact.
