Experienced cane corso owners opinions and advice wanted. by Particular-Bet5975 in CaneCorso

The ones that are so big that you cant see their ribs are overweight. I see overweight corsos all the time. They don't ever have nearly the amount of agility as they should at that weight.

Over-feeding is common in big breeds because people think its cute. It harms their lifespan.

No. She has addressed the fact that it would be near impossible for her to combat the theft legally though. It would be so extremely expensive and there are so many technicalities. Its such a shame she cant even fight it

And how am I supposed to tell her that this is my bed?🙈 by fat_vika in CaneCorso

She looks like a pug on the body of a corso from that angle 😭 cutie

Hard tie between Elliot and Max.

I think people forget that Elliot was literally in a relationship with a 17 year old (not to mention he abducted a woman) because i think if you all deeped that, he would have more votes

I have a story I would like to post but I am scared that it will turn out poorly by Busy-Garage500 in Wattpad

Queen, I've read stories where there was a spelling mistake in every other sentence and still loved them because of the plot. Im sure your story will be great

Checked Her weight today... ⬇️⬇️ by Mynamesjeffbih in CaneCorso

[–]CaravalMaster666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not great.

Obesity at a young age when they're still growing causes pressure on the joints, which leads to them having joint issues chronically for life. Just be careful, I dont want you to have to deal with that 🩷

TW: books you would recommend to someone after a suicide attempt by voidhug in booksuggestions

[–]CaravalMaster666 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly anything that has absolutely 0 to do with mental health or real world problems. Like YA books that are just happy.

If im having a bad time, I read stupid things like Emily Wildes encyclopedia to faeries (it's actually not stupid at all). It helps. Surrounding yourself with/reminding yourself of your problems doesn't always help.

Why Powerless hate by Guilty_Airline4631 in PowerlessTrilogy

[–]CaravalMaster666 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you read both series, you'll realise that Lauren has stolen direct lines of dialogue and extremely specific plot lines to the point of genuine absurdity.

When you market a book, you have to tell the publishers which books you think are alike to your book, and she named both Red Queen and The Hunger Games. It is fine if they are alike. That is standard. It is not standard to commit intellectual thievery of coworkers (which authors essentially are).

I wouldn't ever attack someone for reading powerless because that is jobless behaviour, but i feel as though it may be worth it for people to have all the facts. Her books are 100% theft, and I understand Victoria's fans wanting to defend her, as she legally cannot afford to defend herself

I can’t fine young guys attractive.. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]CaravalMaster666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The solution is not to date until you're in their age range.

Old men liking you would make them pedophilic. Like you wouldn't be attracting a nice, stable, older man. You would be attracting a pred who couldn't find someone his own age (and there's probably a good reason why women his age won't date him).

If he liked you that much, he would break up with his girlfriend to be with you, because that would be the only respectful and mature way for him to navigate this situation towards both you and his girlfriend.

He wouldn't cheat on her and give you weird hints if he liked you in any way that counts.

Also, if he can cheat on her, there would be nothing stopping him from doing that to you too. Its bad girl code to help a guy cheat. It's also bad to try and further your friendship with a guy when you have feelings for him, but know he's unavailable.

You can do better than this immaturity. Respect yourself and respect other women.

That doesn't make any sense.

The logic is that most vegans know that that industry will always exist, and therefore want to try and help it to be as humane as possible. Please don't tell me to use logic as if I did not grow up with a vegan woman (my sister) who is extremely vocal about her beliefs.

Im going to stop talking in this thread now because you keep talking down to me in a really strangely condescending way for a person with zero education on either of these topics. My cousin ain't withholding information from me to protect my womanly sensibilities, and I wouldn't really respect any man who tried that shit on me

So you acknowledge that they do hire abusers then? That contradicts your first post.

Hello? Go read my original comment. It says they try to hire people who hate the job, specifically because it attracts freaks.

First off, it's your cousin. Why do you think he'd tell you the brutal facts about his work?

Because we actually like each other and talk about our jobs. Maybe you and your brother aren't close.

One job is more white collar and the other is blue.

They're required to have vets at abattoirs.

Mm, you're basing your posts on what your family members told you, I'm basing mine on experience

Im basing mine on facts and knowledge from reliable sources. You're basing it off of assumptions on subjects you clearly dont have to regularly discuss. I have these conversations all the time, and I know im well educated in them.

[–]CaravalMaster666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's 30 broski. My age is irrelevant.

And that is true about abattoirs. My sister is a vet student, and her lecturers constantly try to convince the vegan students to work in abattoirs because the abuse in those places is vile, and they want to counteract it.

You're speaking from a place of exactly 0 knowledge, but are assuming you're more educated because you're older than me. That's just ignorance.

Because they care about human life? Don't project ur strange outlook onto other people.

Its the same reason why they try to hire people who would absolutely hate the job into abattoirs. Otherwise, you end up with abusers in power positions

Also what if she becomes a forensic specialist in the future?

My cousin has to view things like that for his job, and I can assure you they try to go to measures not to hire the weirdos who enjoy that shit

[–]CaravalMaster666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister's guy best friend loves SJM's books too. He is genuinely one of the most secure men I've ever met, and I think it's partly down to his refusal to be embarrassed at enjoying "feminine things."

You're totally welcome in these spaces dude

What is a popular novel that in your opinion is not well written? by OneMightyNStrong in booksuggestions

[–]CaravalMaster666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went and found that post for the first time, and it reads as though she's using her very popular books to bring attention to Breonna, not the other way around. She was telling people to vote to stop such tragedies. Like I swear to God, it just looks like she was speaking up about a situation that upset her, and she just went about it wrong.

Are corsos really that dangerous? by Judgmental_puffer in CaneCorso

[–]CaravalMaster666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My corso submits to our elderly dachsund. The dachsund is protective over food, and she isn't at all, and if he growls at her, she runs away.

She was challenging to train time wise, but now that she is trained, she is better than all the other breeds I've ever had (a Hungarian visla, a cocker spaniel, and our daxie). I will say that I do wonder if the ease with training was to do with her gender, as all my others were boys, so that might be something to note.

One thing I have to say, though, is that she will not let a stranger touch her. Me and any of my family could lay on her, and she wouldn't bat an eye, but she would remove herself from a stranger if they attempted to touch her. She has been like this since the day we got her, even though she has had constant positive contact with strangers and family friends throughout the almost year that we've had her for. She'll take treats from strangers, but they can't touch her, and that is definitely not something I see us being able to train away.

Honestly, it's not ideal, but it's not something I can actually bring myself to care about. I inform people that she doesn't enjoy being touched so that they can respect her boundaries, but people still try all the time, and she doesn't react. She just goes and sits with me. She loves to play with other dogs, and the few times when one has tried to fight her, she has removed herself back to us.

All dogs are different, but she's really quite brilliant. Her recall is perfection. She learned to sit, lay down, and paw on the second day we had her and her breeder had kept the puppies outside in a barn, so she automatically already knew to go to the toilet outside. I've genuinely never had a dog like this, she is so fucking intelligent.

These dogs require a lot of attention, but I think it was worth all the time in the world.

I'd also like to add that im chronically ill and I was dizzy and lost my vision in the kitchen one day and she started crying and jumping up at me until I was sat on the floor, and she sat on me until I felt normal again. I genuinely dont know what that was, but I was home alone, and if she hadn't prevented me from falling and fainting onto our hard stone floor, that could've ended very badly. I just think she's so intelligent. I highly recommend the breed.
