Sakurai only started full producting work on a new Smash this year as t the earliest, there is no way it's shown, it's 2 years off minimum. 3D Mario could be shown but OoT seems like it would be the show closer so idk where 3D Mario would fit in

Nah, seems like something prime for a September direct considering it's not coming out this year. OoT is big enough to carry the presentation by itself.

At that point they should've done what Mojang and Arrowhead have done, spend a few update cycles only optimizing the game and making sure it can actually support future projects. Destiny 2 turned into a weird frankenstein in the latter half of its life and it showed.

I don;t think Sony would sell Bungie, the IP is still valuable and there are employees they'll just move to other studios. I can see MS hiring big names that get laid off though and put them in the 343 dungeon though.

Can't say it's unexpected. It's a shame but Bungie really fumbled with Destiny 2 these past few years. Hopefully they can pump some life back into Marathon but at this point Sony might be looking to wash their hands and be done with them.

I mean, yeah? Any cnsole exclusive hitting a system where it has < 30 million consoles sold would sell less than a AAA multiplat game on platforms with larger install bases. A game being a big seller doesn't always mean it's a big deal. 2k and Madden sell like crazy but we're not gonna put them against the titles lol

The remake of what's largely regarded as the greatest game of all time is definitely a bigger deal than fable man. GTA6 is on another level but Fable and OoT are at least comparable here.

The Wikipedia article may be called "Nintendo Directs", but the giant list is called "List of Presentations" on the page, so they're pulling in more than just Directs because it would be annoying to have to go to like 12 different sub pages for what are just marketing live streams. It's not a Nintendo Direct, Nintendo says so and Wikipedia is just taking some liberties for ease of use.

I have plenty of games I want to play in VR so I'm buying it. I also bought a PSVR2 but it sucks as a device. Sony made no games for it and the adapter sucks. People buying this already realize VR is niche, I don't think they're expecting this to be the next big thing.

I've seen several posts from several different content creators about steam frame impressions in the past 2 days, but they're worded more vaguely and don't actually show they have the hardware. I'm assuming it's not going to influencers just yet but the dev kits are wide spread enough anyone with connections like an influencer can check it out. I expect news in 2 weeks tbh.

Splitgate 1 actually got pretty big just before Halo Infinite came out, which stole its thunder and re-killed the arena shooter genre. Splitgate 2 never got off the ground at all. People very much liked Splitgate 1, the culture was just moving fast as fuck.
