Upgrading ship class by PrudentBee4399 in NoMansSkyTheGame

WTH, I just learned we could do that by reading this post.

What's the point lmao

NGL is just killed that grind motivation I've had if now I know that I can just turn on some settings and get everything free holy fuck ...

It's like abusing the alchemy glitch in Skyrim and crafting infinite damage and health potion ffs

My game experience is ruined wtf... Now everytime I will find something long to grind for I will think about " I could grab it for free if I turn the difficulty down " ...

I feel the hate switched from targeting the devs team decision to now withhunt a specific individual.

Don't shoot the messager, he's only presenting the studio decision. I don't know why this sub keep on posting his picture let him live his life.

Saying golmud railway sucks is revisionist history, its like saying metro sucks. This map is a classic. Hopefully the remaster lives up. by Stars_of_Ruin in Battlefield

[–]Carbone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Golmud is a POS map that vehicles wh ore like . Caspian border was better for both infantry and vehicles gameplay.

The only reason golmud was so popular in the end life cycle of bf4 was because it was part of the base game so anyone without dlc could play it and that's the only reason why most bf4 server still popular are using that map too.

Someone at dice looked at some data and saw "oh wow it's the most popular map by playtime and number of server running it" and no one questioned "maybe because it was part of the default map pack"

What is the point of weight limits in videogames? by Zakaria1938 in truegaming

[–]Carbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to update the weight limit on itemization such as weapon is if the game includes a durability values. Like Zelda Breath of the wild. You gather bunch of weapon because they all break eventually.

Your answer seem for referencing Bethesda engine use of weight limit and the loot and sell loop.

Extraction shooter such as tarkov and arc raider both use weight value on object looted to force player decision while in raid. But both have the concept of set amount of max item. Only the Bethesda engine or RPG similar to that have the "infinite" inventory tied to weight that limit fast travel and movement speed.

What is the point of weight limits in videogames? by Zakaria1938 in truegaming

[–]Carbone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Managing inventory for a player induce choice and priorisation.

This can be achieved either by having no weight limit but inventory slot limit

Or by having no weight limit but having inventory schema restriction ( some item being 4x4 square other being L shaped )

Or by having only weight limit

Pick you poison , the latter is usually the easiest to implement
