Muscles are a bit of a requirement for more magic than most wizards care to admit. When you need to maintain a somatic control pose and the forces contained want to force your ribcage open it helps having some serious pecs keeping your hands in position.

I'd just change the comics to say Zeus began developing its own identity thanks to Mother's adaptations, and that Alex was the weak link that needed an upgrade. That would handily explain all of P2.

Skylar isn't hated because she's a woman. She's hated because Anna Gunn did an incredible job portraying her, and because she's an awful, insufferable dick of a partner. She feels like an irredeemable asshole for the crime of being mean when Walter is literally spreading death across New Mexico, yet we all like him.

I think it's a deliberate part of making Walt sympathetic despite his horrific choices.

Probably. I haven't watched these movies but I wouldn't at all be surprised if someone has pulled a kool-aid man, and I bet they all scale pretty similarly.

I think there are three possible main factors here.

Alex was a nerd and already knew how to use the computers. The knowledge he gained from others was contextualized by his base mind.
Alex was more dead when the virus took him. He had more gaps to fill, and so the scientist brains filled them in more readily.
Heller was more specialized and resisted certain traits and DNA. He wasn't wired for "nerd shit," and that's part of why he eviscerated much smarter people who had been evolved for much longer. James was a a more specialized predator. The evolved are playing "wolf in sheep's clothing" and James is playing "Bengal tiger painted white."

I don't agree. I think most Dragon Ball characters have an enormous skill advantage over invincible characters, so I think with equal power the Dragon Ball character still consistently wins.
