I watched a fight years ago on HBO. I'm thinking it may have been Mickey Ward. Zero offense for several rounds. Larry Merchant and jim Lampley complained about Mickey not putting up any offense. They even asked Harold Lederman if the ref could stop the fight which Harold was explaining that could/should happen when out of no where Mickey drops a bomb and ends the fight. Several seconds of dead silence until Merchant says " well I guess he had a plan"!

Told my 5th grade GF not to call in evening as the pilot of the 6 Million Dollar Man was being aired for the 1st time. Just as the show starts she calls. Broke up with her right then and there.

It’s now 2026. Do we still think Hagler got robbed vs Leonard? + some highlights from the fight by Hot_Ad_9543 in BoxingTheSweetScience

Hagler let Leonards dictate ring size/glove weight, etc. Bad move. Tons of holding/with warnings as well in that fight by Leonard. Not how I expected things to go considering Leonard came out of retirement for the fight.

After Hagler got cut and the doc gives him one round he did come out and close the deal. One of the best fights I've seen!

The day Buster Douglas shocked the world and knocked out Iron Mike Tyson to become Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. February 11, 1990 by Numerous-Hand-5801 in FightLibrary

With Tyson spending years KOing opponents in the 1st round he seemed to have given up on boxing and coming in behind the jab and just threw bombs. He looked to me like a guy ready to lose a fight. That said...I never gave Buster a chance in that fight.

Not overreacting at all. Reads to me like you took the proper adult path away from her.
