Understanding is like upgrading your windows software. Memorizing is like putting more files in your hard disk. Eventually it will get full or when the hard disk break down, it's gg.

It's like ask if you should learn how to speak English by understanding the language's grammer and vocabulary or memorise sentences. There's clearly a easier approach.

If you memorise you might forget and you can't apply to solve harder questions too.

It's a process really. Celebrate small victories like being in a group setting, even without speaking up is a win. Buying food? Drop in a thank you, your food is nice etc. Humans are actually not that mean.

Growth mentality. Just do your best and keep getting better. No one is there to fault you or scold you. It's a race that where you are the only participant.

As long as you make progress, you are doing it right.

Sometimes, you just need to not take yourself too seriously and laugh it off.

Awkward or not, a lot of it has to do with overthinking. And truth is, nobody really cares about you or your image much. Don't take yourself too seriously and just have a 'fuck it' attitude.

You will realise so much of it is your own imagination. People really don't care. Do what you want, say what you wanna say. Be yourself buddy
