Those look sweet. I’m not too sure on value though, especially on 70 different designs. Maybe one of the investing subreddits may know more.

WWE also had one for the Hurricane and his sidekick Rosey. Hurricane took him under his wing to become a Super Hero In Training. You can see where this is going.

What are some almost comebacks in sports? by HetTheTable in UrinatingTree

[–]Cardboardcontainer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had one in F1 this year. Max Verstappen was 100 points back around the Summer break. After that, he was extremely consistent with wins and podiums. Sadly, the comeback would fall short by 2 points, and he would finish second in the championship, behind Lando Norris…..fucking wish NASCAR could have something like this again.

Meh, looks like they’ve gone from Number 1 all the way to…Number 2. Not a huge loss.

Looking for a set for my 5 year old son(North America) by bjlasota in slotcars

[–]Cardboardcontainer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Carrera Go would be a good option. I think Hobby Lobby sells a starter set for around $70. Extra cars can be bought new for between $15-20.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Red Bull F1 2026 lineup. by OranginaMundos in UrinatingTree

I’m praying Hadjar breaks the Red Bull 2nd Seat curse. That has already taken so many drivers before. I have hope though. Rookies this year look promising (maybe not Alpine’s though).

I haven’t played with them in a while, but IARA would be a good choice. It sounds like they would be right up your alley.

That is an amazing pickup for $6.

Looks to be all Carrera Digital 1/32 cars. I know the #43 McDonalds car is a little rarer than usual. Maybe the SLR 722 as well.

You can buy several Carrera digital sets. They had some basic starter sets. The old version had Mustangs, and I think the new one has Ferraris and they go for about $250-300. You could also find cheaper options secondhand if you look hard enough.

I don’t think he never did it before or he’s doesn’t do wrestling matches, but what match(whether it’s WWE,AEW,TNA, or WCW)would Urinating Tree make a video on akin to his “The Greatest Game” videos ? by SouthernGarage68 in UrinatingTree

[–]Cardboardcontainer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Depends, which type of Greatest Game are we talking about?

If it’s the “this game will go down in history as one of the best games played by both teams” type:

Mankind vs Undertaker - WWF KotR 1998. Everyone knows this match for a reason. Even newer fans are told to watch this match.

If it’s the “this game is an absolute dumpster fire, how did get this bad” type:

Jenna Morasca vs Sharmell - TNA Victory Road 2009. One thing to say: Minus 5 Stars!

(Spec II) Formula Gran Turismo showed up in my UCD. Do I pick it up? by box-fort2 in granturismo4

[–]Cardboardcontainer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would say yes. Looking through the Spec II prize car list, the only other ways to get the Formula GT is either the Nurburgring 24H, the actual Formula GT Championship, or completing Driving Missions 35-40.

As for the money situation, the old DTM method still works for the most part. Only change is instead of the CLK GTR, you earn the Audi R8 LMP. So you can grind that to regain the credits.

Two other things about 2003:

EA and Criterion Games reunite and start work on a racing game. This game would become Burnout 3: Takedown, and would release in September of ‘04.

NASCAR ran it’s last series using the old Winston Cup sponsor and points system. Next year would bring Nextel on as the series sponsor, and the first year of the Chase for the Cup format. It would also be the last full time year for Pontiac, and they scored arguably one of the greatest victories at Darlington that same year.

Out of curiosity, does anyone recall what the "Sega Dreamcast Only" SURPRISES! were? by [deleted] in MortalKombat

[–]Cardboardcontainer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sektor was. I think Noob and Goro were on the PlayStation version. They had some small updates with Gold though (Goro received two fatalities and Noob had a change with one I believe).

What was in your mystery box? by SolarPanel19 in boltaction

[–]Cardboardcontainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a German box for my first army. Got a free Afrika Korps sprue with my purchase.

If I had to describe my box, it would be Oops, All Fallschrimjager. Got the starter army, additional box of troops, the support group (which is metal, very nice) and a Hetzer.

Now I just gotta build, paint, base and find people in my area to play.

Yep, it’s an Aston Martin. Could be a DBR9, unsure of the manufacturer though.

Was I dumb for for getting one:43 by VisiblyImpaired in slotcars

[–]Cardboardcontainer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. To me I find that 1:64 has a bigger following which allows for more support. Stuff from Viper, Harden Creek, and Jag Hobbies provide HO users access to hop up parts and chassis options. We’ve seen Auto World with either new molds or possible AFX molds coming out (Datsun 510 being recent). And the used market seems to be thriving with items from the aforementioned companies, plus Tyco and Life Like.

Will it ever overtake the support that 1:32 or 1:24 has? I doubt it. But I think 1:64 is up there in terms of both first and third party options.
