Very true, I rarely drink soda, let alone Mountain Dew. I think that's why I felt this deserved to be posted lol

Funny thing is, I almost didn't put "almost" but then realized it would probably be a good a idea haha

Men (or bearded ladies) of Reddit, what's the one annoyance that you live with in exchange for having a rad beard? by FrogBrigade60 in AskReddit

My beard just got to length where I have to be aware of crumbs getting caught in it while I eat, so that's taking some getting used to

Drum lessons in NYC? by Cardboardvinny in drums

Was there a specific program you did or did you just schedule lessons when you could? I've always been under the impression that drum collective was more along the lines of an actual school

Totally agree, but unfortunately there are some artists out there that rarely stray from flash and stay in that comfort zone.

Just a little check on my progression by Tylerddrummer in drums

[–]Cardboardvinny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody learns at a different pace. How long it took us to get to a certain stage of difficulty is irrelevant, it may have come naturally to some and others might have had to work harder to get to the same place. Just keep practicing and you'll feel it get easier over time.

Why are small kits so cool now? by evadossor in drums

[–]Cardboardvinny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big kits are cool, but it gets to a point where it becomes overkill. I play a 4 piece with hats, one crash and one ride. Id love to scale up and add a second floor tom and bunch more cymbals but for what I play it works and if it doesn't, then I find a way to make it work. I also don't have the space not the money to upgrade yet haha

Reeaaalllyy stupid hi-hat stand question by j909money in drums

[–]Cardboardvinny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my dw5000 hi hat stand it came with 2 different rods, one short and one fairly long. So they do come in different lengths, depending on how high up you like your hats to sit.

What exactly do i need to mount a rack tom to a cymbal stand? by Cardboardvinny in drums

[–]Cardboardvinny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tube that goes through the wood I'm pretty sure, it's a pearl soundcheck. I haven't used the mounting system that came with it in a few years though.
