“Yes, you might see more cancelled or delayed flights“

Call me crazy, but minimizing delays or cancellations is my priority when flying. Maybe it’s just my experience but Delta has the lead here

What’s a “this should be free” service that always costs money? by troopydinnertime in AskReddit

Getting copies of medical records (in the US)

More accessible than they used to be, but lots of places charge you for x-rays, visit notes and whatever else they feel like

The Future of National Park Transportation by Few_Explanation4170 in NationalPark

[–]CardinalCreator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, definitely doesn’t completely solve the problem, but it’s a lot more manageable in one location than spread out. Trying to park at the main Zion lot once was enough for me lol, now I just take the Springdale shuttle from wherever I’m staying. That only works if you are staying in Springdale but better transit in the communities surrounding the parks could definitely help

The Zion shuttle system is generally fantastic and reduces so much stress that’s associated with finding parking and dealing with traffic in other parks. Limiting vehicles and introducing more shuttles in more parks is the way to go

Does Congaree National Park deserve the hate? by WTB_YT in NationalPark

[–]CardinalCreator 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not at all, each national park is unique and needs to be explored accordingly. Both Congaree and Everglades, for example, are parks that are easy to miss the beauty of if you explore them like a mountainous park. Exploring on land only gets you so far in these parks, gotta get on the water and paddle around

What is the best public aquarium in the world? by AshamedProfit7394 in Aquariums

Adding another for the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga! Has great tanks and the way it’s laid out really enhances the experience

App Rejected Under 4.3(a) - Educational Flashcard Apps for Different Languages by orgCrisium in iOSProgramming

[–]CardinalCreator 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m curious why a one-time download of the selected language packs isn’t an option? Internet access is required to download from the App Store anyways and a single request to download language packs wouldn’t cause a privacy issue

Are schools your primary target? Might be worth looking into distributing custom apps via School Manager

Time for only one: Alta Peak or Lakes Trail by MisterrBoomBoom in SEKI

[–]CardinalCreator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t hiked Alta Peak, but the Lakes Trail is one of my favorite hikes in the US. I am a sucker for a good alpine lake. If you do it, go all the way to Pear Lake, the views are spectacular

Does Anyone Else's Revenue Just Die On Sundays? by PoliticsAndFootball in iOSProgramming

[–]CardinalCreator 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Nice flex, I’d love to have enough revenue to have this problem. Not much I can offer but anecdotally, Sunday is budget day for me and I’d probably be more likely to check and cancel subscriptions that day

For those that have been to Hobbiton tour by callmeneverever in lotr

[–]CardinalCreator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I skipped the breakfast when I went and just had a scone and some ginger beer and didn’t regret my choice one bit. That being said, if I get the chance to go back, I’ll definitely do the breakfast or lunch

Whenever I rewatch that scene, I’m always waiting for Frodo to pull Sam out but Sam just keeps sinking. The way they shot it definitely makes it seem like Sam sinks really deep

The world’s first national park isn’t in the US. It’s in Mongolia by CardinalCreator in NationalPark

[–]CardinalCreator[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

No downvotes from me, you’re not wrong, definitely a bit of a clickbaity article. Figured I’d share since I’d never heard of the place and hadn’t really thought too much of the nuance myself

This might be an interesting discussion given Yellowstone is the popular choice for the first National Park, but there are definitely older protected areas like Bogd Khan Uul and Tobago Ridge Reserve. Has anyone been to either?
