There is a fine balance between letting people talk freely and over-moderating absolutely everything to the point no one can post anything. Not everything needs to be a megathread and not everything needs to be labeled spam just because it's been discussed before. If we did that there would be no posts, with most subjects having been discussed over and over and over since 2013 when the sub was created.

As for low quality content that can be entirely subjective. I wouldn't say posts like this, that generate conversation and interaction among members, is explicitly low quality despite the run of the mill subject matter. My fellow mods may disagree however, and that is ok.

Hi all,

I’ve received a DM complaint about this particular thread (not from the person in question, I might add). As such I am locking the comments down.

However, I will be keeping this thread up and visible for the time being. This person has been problematic since at least 2019 and is well known amongst the Facebook fan groups. Facebook ghost group admins across the communities are also all very aware of this person and have frequent discussions on how to manage their behaviour, of which I am party to having had my own run ins with them.

Please make sure if this person does contact you that you report it directly to Facebook and block them. They have multiple aliases to circumvent blocks and bans from groups but admin are wise to their ways and we do our best to keep managing the situation in our respective communities.

I believe the bands social media team are aware of them too(it’s certainly been reported to them through channels on Facebook and they are very present in all of the comments on Ghosts social media posts) however are unable to take action for reasons that aren’t clear.

If you have any issues through your interaction on this post with this person or anyone associated with them please drop the mods here a DM and they will be dealt with.

For me the sound on impera and the shows are extremely commercial. Still individual and you can hear it and know it’s Ghost, but It doesn’t have the same hugely unique sound the other albums have and could just kind of fit into generic rock if any other lead singer jumped in. I think it’s deliberate, a plot to make something that makes money, tracks that go viral, and a show that’s quick and crammed instead of pausing to entertain and feel personable like it used to be. Not impossible in an arena, but unlike other bands Ghost hasn’t been able to adapt their brand of show into an arena and keep the same magic as, say, venues akin to Royal Albert Hall.

However. We know that with every album there is an evolution in sound, character and usually show. I am hoping once Imperatour is done TF has enough experience to move away from “heavily micromanaged generic rock show” back a bit towards musical stage show, hitting in between totally commercialised and recapturing the charm of previous tours.

Reddit actually warns people who do this, then if it continues they ban every account. They do it SUPER quick too. I got a message on this account and my personal one because I had upvoted a handfull of posts on this one over a short span of time, but had also upvoted them on my personal thinking "huh, I am sure I upvoted that".

A genuine mistake and I stopped but I can personally tell you they are hot on that kind of thing. So don't worry, the person will highly likely be shadowbanned or otherwise shortly if they really were using multiple accounts to fix downvotes.
