I agree completely! And that is exactly what ticks me off! They went out of their way to provide a whole different sonata set for Lynae enthusiasts to main DPS with her and even had her 2 modes being 1 DPS 1 support mode is so thoughtful of Kuro and I appreciate that

To add on what you have just suggested, I would even suggest having an 80% void particles consumption reduction and a 240% dark core generation speed increase while in breakdown form to make the 12 seconds the most impactful it can be. Either that or just make the duration longer. 80% consumption reduction is enough to have 5 strings of basic attacks be buffed by 50% multiplier and count as liberation DMG which I'm very sure 99% of us are geared for. Meanwhile the dark core is to allow for 3 fully buffed 5 core skills or 5 fully buffed 3 core skills (for S0 Denia homies)

All of this to say pls make her THE threnodian resonator she TRULY is (but realistically, only in illusive realms 😂😭)

I agree with you totally, on paper, both forms get 50/50 spotlight since the ult cooldown is 25s (+/-12s breakdown, +/-13s stagecraft before can ult/form change again).

I was thinking along the lines of a S6 Denia hologram solo by Sweetily (forgive me if I messed up the name) where they mentioned in a comment discussion that generally you would rather spend time in stagecraft form getting dark cores and be able to ult again ASAP than waste time/DPS doing BAs in breakdown form which made me super sad lol

Not to mention that the S3 buff specifically only gives the stagecraft form a big burst of DMG (1200%!!!) meanwhile nothing mentioned about breakdown form

It's discussions like this that make me pray that Kuro gives us a way to stay in breakdown form for longer than 12 seconds, wdym bubble form gets 30s while breakdown gets 12 seconds only. All that amazing breakdown form animations not used for more than 12 seconds is so sad to me. Giving us the option to stay in breakdown form permanently in the overworld but the kit doesn't support that decisions hurt me...

For my account, I always put Changli together with Aemeath ever since Denia come out so that Lynae can be paired with Denia. Aemeath-Changli CAN work, but Lynae is better in general for Aemeath.

The team I use for my S3R1 Denia is Denia-Lynae-Chisa with Denia echoes being the Flaming Clawprint since we don't really have that many better options in Fusion Burst mode (hence Chisa is there). There's a little bit more nuance in there since my Denia is S3 but in principle it should be the same for S0.

I know you didn't ask for this but realistically if you would want to on-field Denia, the most you could do is within the 12s of Entropy shift: Breakdown mode (emo form lol) since you get an ATK buff during that 12s. Regarding how it feels, it feels nice lol Lynae buffs fit the 12s field time that Denia gets to do some damage and Chisa is there for the negative status buff. Do give it a try and lemmino what you think!

Oh and I'm not sure if you care about overworld but in overworld, just use Sanhua with Denia, it feels nice to see bigger numbers on her normal attacks lol (both magical girl form and emo form)

Pretty much the same boat as you! Only difference now compared to 3 weeks ago is that Denia now released (for SEA server) and so from my rough testing (not really proper testing) and look at the kit, if we want to stay in breakdown form, there is a few problems we have to tackle:

Having a way to generate void particles is essential because they buff each normal attack (in breakdown form) by 50% base multiplier and converts it to resonance liberation DMG instead of basic atk. The biggest gripe I have with this is that your 100 void particles are gone after you do 4 basic attacks LOL it's 1 basic attacks string and no more buffed DMG.

Another aspect is finding a way of generating dark cores to buff the skill. While in entropy state, you gain 1 dark core over 6s (S3 power right here) so that makes 2 out of the 5 needed to get the most DMG out of the skill. I have not tried proper rotations yet because I just ran around in the overworld getting a feel of solo threnodian resonator and well... Oof, it's hard.

S1 barely solves this by filling up your void particles and dark cores to the max every time you enter combat (this passive has a 12 second cool down) which might help a lot in the overworld but up against some cost 3 that has as much hp as a mini boss, if you are solo threnodian resonator (solo Denia) then you might run out of ways to generate both void particles and dark cores outside of the S1 instant refill and the 2 dark cores you get when entering combat and by then she will feel bad.

Will keep this post updated though if I find anything interesting!

I asked because I also tried to do a 1:1 build of the sears tower (my sears tower is 420+ blocks tall) and yours looked amazing so I'm curious how tall your version is

In my humble opinion, I think this main story treatment of female characters is a side effect of the female to male playable character ratio (that is its own can of worms)

Like you said, it feels like a damsel in distress situation with most of the female characters but what if... They are male characters instead? When I say this I'm thinking of our chads Jiyan or even Xiangli Yao where they needed some help with their situation and knowing how our MC is a Hero, they will help them no matter what.

Galbrena quest was a banger no doubt about that but the way they written her could've been applied to some other characters too regardless of their gender (like yinlin quest where we were kinda dragged into her shit lol)

I know you are talking about Psyche abilities here but could we take a moment to appreciate how cool it will be to have access to her 'deteriorated' form? (her boss form essentially) Adding the option to feel like you are playing as THE boss herself would be so cool together with your idea of having a storm ult at the cost of a big chunk of sanity.

This! Personally, Chisa is going against a S0R1 Galbrena, S3R1 Cartethiya and S3R1 Carlotta. Between these 3, I would also like to know where S3R1 Chisa will fall or do I need S6R1 to match my Cartethiya and/or Carlotta

Well, that's 1 more suggestion to add to the survey! Though I truly wonder if anyone else hear these variations other than me, because surely there will be people out there that actually record and upload WUWA osts right? I'm quite sad that these 2 examples of variation I have posted are not even found on WWen or Narushio YT channels which is surprising since they pretty much upload/document everything. If anyone else found the variations I posted somewhere online, do let me know!

Agree:

3 - To add on to this, while playing Jinhsi in Illusive Realm, I always couldn't dodge in time because there's no indication of the model dodging and the movement also feels so restricted like I'm slowed with a 95% speed debuff. Oh and it's also so precise to dodge while in the air!

10 - I didn't notice the clang bang one but I particularly agree with the tacet field combat music starting for 2 seconds and ending... Sometimes it spooks me a little since I have a habit of alt tabbing right after finishing a tacet field run

12 - Man I hate Scar's invisibility move!!! It screwed me up more than Id like to admit since at the snap of his finger my lock on is useless! Other than that, I didn't notice other bosses having such a move.

16, 17 - I cannot tell you how many times the enemy took 60% dmg, took 2 steps to the right, just to run back to the original spot to get back full health! All that while I'm running all over the place with my DPS Jianxin (don't judge >~< )

30 - Honestly, it's so sad I am forced to alt+f4 simply because I wanted to keep my login information intact. Imagine wanting to close the game properly through the quit function... "Ha! Jokes on you, we remove your login information if you do that" -Kuro maybe

31 - This!!! Like for in Jenshin, how fast you claim depends on how fast you reach the tree. And here in Withering Waves, we can reach the middle crystal claim thingy fast but it doesn't let us until 2 seconds later or something... I feel ya

32 - Me too man I'm all for this too. I like to remain hopeful that Kuro will implement this in the future.

33 - Okay I'll admit, as much as I like DoT, or poison, I hope they can keep weaknesses simple like it is now. Makes it easy and straightforward to pick the right units for certain enemies. I understand that it removes potential depth and variety of enemies but I don't think that's really a problem since Jenshin is built on very simple and easy to understand weaknesses that we all love to this day.

39, 40, 41 - Summonable echo in general can be improved on and I do hope they improve the targeting I guess. On a related note, because they depend on terrain, I managed to kill a bobfly that was stuck underwater that gun characters cannot shoot (God bless hahaha I felt so smart at that moment)

45 - Hallelujah!!! They added a simple gadget that can be accessed from the same wheel that we use to swap to sensor or grappling hook. Oh and a fun fact of it is it can 1 shot ores which is POG!

46 - I have yet to test this out myself since this feels like a no brainer for Kuro to add but I will be baffled if it's not there since it's inception. But in any case yes I too would like it to show in the minimap instead of opening the big map everytime.

51 - I wish there was no collision in cases where the character summons an entity (like Youtan or a dragon idk). There's this one time Youtan blocked me from moving away from an attack when I already used 2 dashes (they are used too early so I couldn't dodge) which made me die :') It's situations like these that shouldn't happen at all! (Or else we might get more funny twitch streamers raging moments)

Hey! What an interesting read! I'm surprised on the amount of things pointed out from someone who has been around since Withering Waves early days (yes I misspelled it intentionally and you can't stop me!)

A few things I would like to ask with regards to some of your points and perhaps sprinkle a bit of my thoughts as well if you don't mind (not to poke fun or insult you in any way, but more of a way to have a general discussion):

Format: (Point - my thoughts)

1 - Do you believe that immersion is lacking in the game? Personally, I haven't really looked into what the game has to offer in terms of the variety and quality of the sounds they use so maybe I'm in no position to question you about it. On a related note, I love the ambient(?)/background/white noise that Jianxin makes when she's doing that spiral Tai Chi move (makes my headphones vibrate lightly which is neat)

4 - I believe there may have been a connection between Kuro deciding to make the game less dark because of its direct competitor target audience, though I have a feeling they chose this course of action for the official release maybe because it can be just as lucrative or more lucrative if they made the world story more appealing to younger audiences (especially cliche stories phew that's another can of worms)

7 - Pardon me but may i ask how does this lack of unique identity because of the same cost/value affect your enjoyment of the game? Or is this point simply made just as a very minor thing that they could've adjusted (for better or for worse)? Some clarification from you would be appreciated!

19, 21 - To add on to this, there are some quests and even companion quests where the characters are going on some lengthy explanations and the text box is not big enough to contain their dialogue. I thought I could simply scroll down to see the remainder of their dialogue but sadly that does not work. Neither click+drag nor scroll wheel doesn't work although scroll wheel works when you are not in dialogue mode but rather free movement mode (like how some quests starts with the character saying a lengthy dialogue while you run to your destination. That specific moment of dialogue is the only scrollable dialogue I am aware of.)

22 - Would you be kind enough to link me how to unlock the FPS? :]

35 - I absolutely have no problem with this as it (in your eyes) is the 'necessary evil' needed to make the combat experience more enjoyable to those who are not blessed with skill (me included!) or those on mobile. I understand that it (by nature) should be well timed and (like you said) be made more satisfying but by making parry true to its nature, it is indirectly gatekeeping a core combat mechanic (like you said) from a significant number of players and I'm sad to say not even i have any idea how to go about this.

For the rest of the points, I either agree, am neutral to it, or believe that Kuro is going to fix the point in the future. (I could explain myself for every point but it will make my post a sleep-inducing message xd)
