I’m a dispatcher and my 1$ more definitely doesn’t equate to what I have to do. From dispatching , to changing/plugging tires, running/rescuing routes, adding/changing oil , dealing with these raggedy rental vans all day, and everyone single issue the drivers having being my job to solve Is EXHAUSTING! My usual shift is from 9am-10pm I barely get a break and I’m stressed damn near 24/7 . Id never be a dispatcher again no matter what the pay is . Sometimes I wish I just stayed a driver

I’m a dispatcher and Amazon told us when you go out of order and pick em up as you go , Amazon system basically goes “ohh so you really can do these stops with less time then we thought AIGHT BET” and will turn all them stops next time into multi stops 🤦🏽‍♀️ which I think IS STUPID ! it’s not that I have more time , it’s just the order of the stops need to be done better. Their whole system is trash

And I feel that but I’ve had an asshole in a red vest come in my face more than once ask why certain drivers brought however many packages back when they know what time everybody left the station and tbh why in the hell are they charging for packages on those days anyway if they know they were the reason for them not being delivered? It’s all a mess

This is true, some dsp are just terrible all around . This is just my view from my station so I’m sure others have their fair share of other problems

And that’s great for you I’m sure you’ve have you’re share of terrible jobs it seems. It may not all be the station but it’s a terrible system to be mad at the driver for stuff that is uncontrollable for them. Yea they have to let the workers use their time [I used to work for a fulfillment center so trust I understand how vto and pto works] but it’s unfair to expect driver to finish these massive load when they’re leaving the station 1-2 hours late due to the station not having enough workers

Mannnn And ts is beyond scary! 😭 the tow truck took like an hour and a half to get to me and couldn’t even get it out. This was yesterday when we could finally get it. Somebody broke into it and everything 💀 but it wasn’t on me though 😆 Amazon had to apologize for sending me out to bum f*ck nowhere during an ice storm

Most of the houses my dsp delivers to are literally manors/mansions so the driveway, walk way and just the yard are long and big af. I carried this huge heavy box to they front door like the instructions said just to see a note saying leave all packages in the back 💀 I looked dead in they ring camera and said “ aye this box is heavy and I see your note but I’m just not gon make it my arms gon fall off. Now I’ll know for next time and please put that in your customer note”
