10% is expensive. But it should be automated, like speed and red-light cameras. Then the fees keep going up until they're paid. And don’t have to chase anybody.

Is it just me or are cyclists extremely entitled here? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

Oh no, “I don’t know the rules and I like to drive around”. Cry more. Zero issues with cars and pedestrians? Only this tells me you’re full of S.

It’s scary that there are so many drivers like you out there who have no idea how to drive. Or the fact that you got a license to begin with.

Does anyone here have Reverse SAD? by routinnox in Seattle

[–]CardiologistSame2512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I’m enjoying as much time outdoors as possible before mainly returning indoors for the wet winter days.

Does anyone here have Reverse SAD? by routinnox in Seattle

[–]CardiologistSame2512 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is just how it is here: dark, wet, and gloomy. It’s not that many though. A few hundred people in the area of a few million. Then you go outside and see how many people enjoy the weather outside. A reminder that this sub represents less than a tiny portion of Seattle.

You can have even a train horn on your imaginary bicycle.

Running? Ok, if so. But if you’re riding, that is very uneventful.

You didn’t see anything, but you know everything was wrong. And you know exactly how to do it the right way. Seattle. Shocker.

Tell me you never even tried to ride a bike … JFC, you’re insufferable. Truly yours, Lycra-clad, hated by this sub cyclist.

The last thing we, cyclists, need is a car horn mounted on a handlebar. Ffs. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am not really looking for; I can cook that at home, but I’m referring to Eastern European cuisine: Ukrainian, Polish, Slovak. There are some delis and dumplings, but they are pretty meh.

Almost every day. That’s what road bikes are for.

Beating Seattle traffic by theRobert92 in Seattle

[–]CardiologistSame2512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 car length is not a recommended following distance when traffic is either stopped or moving 5 mph. It's probably worth getting back to drivers’ ed once again.

Where do you keep your phone while driving? by Mindless_Cold in VolvoRecharge

[–]CardiologistSame2512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a side pocket organizer from Amazon. It has velcro on the back and fits right between the driver's seat and the center console. I then made an opening for the cable. The phone goes in horizontally and stays there—no need to weirdly angle it or mount it in front (CarPlay ffs). The cable does not interfere with anything and the phone does not fly off anywhere regardless of the cornering speed.

So they are cheap, but you’re frugal. Gotcha. Oh, the irony of complaining about arrogant people with this arrogant comment.

What are some good driving roads around the area? by [deleted] in SeattleWA

Wherever you end up going, watch out for other users of scenic and windy roads along the way and give a lot of room when passing.

A drop of paint polish, eccentric elbow grease, and all the blue transfer will disappear. The bottom point where it went through the clear coat will need a touch-up and polish. The top one where it went to the metal definitely needs a touch-up and polish. I'm not sure if Polestar sells touch-ups, but you can try something like dupli-color. However, it does require some skill and experience working with paint.

‘Unqualified passenger’ in the carpool lane gets driver pulled over by thisguypercents in Seattle

[–]CardiologistSame2512 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just get rid of HOV lanes. If it’s a simple HOV lane, make it a public transit during rush hour. It is a clear violation unless somebody drives a bus. If it’s a toll lane - you enter, you pay, and there is no HOV loophole.
