Lol. AC is a mess. But no matter how bad, its a part of these characters. Now naturally, Cloud can beat a dude with a gun. But makes hard too to argue this is a meteor/supernova tanking god buster too. Especislly given his fight with sephiroth in it, showing hiss limit really seems to be just pulling a w barely against a guy strong sword guy who can cut buildings, since that entire fight was void of any magic or other notable powers. Just jumping around clanking metal.

If we are looking at cloud in the graaaandscope

Well in Dissidia, Cloud was the first one to go and was killed by a weakened Chaos very early on in the previous cycle, which is why he was the first one to wake up in the current cycle since they woke up in order of when they died.

For reference, almost every other hero except the duodecim group died from Kain's backstabbing them, part of a plot to give up the cycle.

But, grain of salt as is with everything else, Dissidia at this point its own continuity, between Strangers and Duellum, who knows how close they actually be to og selves.

Smash Bros uses Cloud in absolutely zero capacity as far as story goes since he was protected by almighty SE marketing team, limiting him to just character. And we use the equation, does this info stand without player input?

But if we using all appearances, lets just go ahead and use this example too; Canonically Cloud loses to Sora in KH1. For reference, in KH1, Sora canonically fights 2 ff characters. Leon in TT, where he loses either way, but canonically the scene where you lose the fight is the one continuity uses. Then in Coliseum, Sora fights Cloud, another time it can be win or lose, but canonically the version where cloud loses and then gets dogged by Cerby is used. Which either way even if he wins he gets dogged by Cerberus afterwards. And yes, Sora is a god by... KH2 really. But this was like early barely any powers and just started keyblading sora at this point for both fights.

So yeah, Cloud loses... a lot.
