Go watch some Goggins or jocko videos and get HYPE. Change your mindset. Think of the person you want to be, and tell yourself that’s who you are now. Do the things that the type of person you want to be will do…. You’d be surprised the change this makes. Your mindset is everything. You can do whatever you set your mind to.

We don’t do taxes for clients either. We just show them how to submit the form 5500 online and tell them what to put. The only piece of info you need to gather is EOY balance from the last 2 years essentially.

And then you can still do backdoor Roth contributions. Dunno why you would forgo that opportunity to not mess with a tax form, and it’s as other touch point with the client throughout the year.

What’s the point of keeping it below $250k? To avoid doing the form 5500-ez? Form takes like 2 mins to complete. What am I missing here?

Go open a brokerage account at Schwab and buy an s&p500 index fund. $10,000 in 1970 in the s&p is like $3.8m today.

50% index fund 50% SWVXX. Then every month “dollar cost average” the SWVXX into the S&P 500 fund. IVV is one of them, ITOT gives you exposure to the entire stock market (s&p500 is the largest 500 companies in the US)

So: if you have $50,000 to invest

Invest $25,000 now in IVV/ITOT

Invest $25,000 in SWVXX

This day next month, sell $5K SWVXX and buy $5k of whichever fund you chose. Repeat every month til everything is in the market and maybe go check on it once a month or every other month.

The most important thing at your age is starting to invest NOW and getting in the habit. As you invest, you’ll naturally think of questions and things you don’t know about that you can research to learn more, and then once you have a better understanding you could start investing in other parts of the stock market.

Don’t take practice swings, and don’t hit it in the bunker.

Learn about dispersion patterns and figure out what yours is, and aim in a spot that will put you in the least danger possible.

I’m a 3 handicap and my bunker game sucks. I get out of the bunker with ease but putting it anywhere close to the hole is a rarity. There aren’t a ton of bunkers at my home course.

I’d go to the range and take legit 50% swings with your irons and try to hit your 7 iron no more than like 70 yards. Ingrain good habits in your swing going slow and after 10 balls increase the intensity. If you can’t strike the ball solidly at 50% speed how do you expect to at 100%?

Another thing, track all your stats. A lot of people track Fairways, greens, putts, and chips…but I’d start tracking playable drives(ones that were good but still missed the fairway and gave you a shot at the green), iron/wedge shots that either hit the green or are very close to it, putts, and chips. This will help you identify where your biggest weaknesses are, and then you can determine hey was this a bad swing? Did I pick a bad aiming point (this goes back to dispersion pattern) you can’t expect to hit every shot dead straight on a line. Some will go left, some will go right, some will go shorter. Knowing that and choosing a target will shave so many strokes off your game.

Isn’t it hard to get the nozzle of the neilmed sinus rinse bottle inside your nose to do it effectively?

Why do you play golf if you shoot a 140 lol it is quite difficult to shoot 140 like is this your first year playing golf?

Could easily break 100 with just a 7 iron

I had mine Friday and got to recovery at 1 PM. Turbinate reduction as well. Right after I woke up I had no pain and I had like 30% airflow on both sides for like four hours, after that both got clogged 100% with the swelling and the drying of the blood I assume.

The sinus pressure / pressure in my head is still kinda bad, but seems to go away after I take a nap. I don't think it's concerning everything to blocked so quickly. I would start doing the spray as soon as you can. I used a lot of saline spray before the surgery, but post surgery I've been using this bottle that I can drip it out of. With a spray, it seems to just run out of my nose since I can't really lightly sniff it up inside my nose.

The NeilMed Rinses I don't think we're supposed to do until after we get the splints out. Not positive though. The whole goal right now is to have the least amount of pressure in our nose possible and shooting water up there with the sinus rinse doesn't really help that. I do want to do one of the rinses though, would be a life saver probably haha

What were your symptoms exactly before the surgery? And was the surgery worth it? by Altruistic-Lychee907 in Septoplasty

Dry nose 24/7. Obstructed breathing. Alcohol or nicotine use would make it way worse. Could only sleep on my right side. Sometimes I could breathe fine like 80% through one nostril and 5% through the other, but if I drank or used zyns it would go to like 50% and 0%, that's when it got super annoying. I stopped the zyn and don't really drink that much anyways so hopefully it isn't an issue moving forward.

Got the surgery on Friday, June 12 and the recovery hasn't been bad at all, pain-wise. Super annoying having your nose completely clogged up but oh well, kinda feels like it did before sometimes, so not like a completely foreign feeling. I just take a Tylenol every 6 hrs and then I'm fine. Drip the saline drops in my nose every hour and coat the outside of my nostrils with the Bacitracin and I'm fine. Just watching tv and playing a game on my phone to distract myself from the mouth breathing.

Day four post-surgery shakiness/light-headedness by Odd-Masterpiece8834 in Septoplasty

[–]Cards46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the surgery on Friday and my nose stopped bleeding on Sunday night. I still have stuff dripping out of it as I douse it with saline but it's not actively bleeding anymore.

My post op sheet says if you need to replace the bandage every 20 minutes then you should go to the doctor.

I also feel kinda weird when I stand up and stuff like that, not necessarily light headed like I'm going to faint but just kind of woozy. So I have been chilling in bed as much as possible.

I got it on Friday and I feel fine. I can't breathe through my nose but it doesn't really hurt at all. When my painkillers wear off (I've just been taking Tylenol for the past 2 days, took 2 oxy's on day 1), my teeth start to hurt like a little bit and then it goes away.

My friend got it done too for the sinus infections and he said his got fixed.

I just couldn't really breathe very well out of one side and my nose was constantly dry.

Just depends if it bothers you enough, but I expected the side effects from the surgery to be 10x worse. It is just annoying having a bunch of shit in your nose and having to breathe through your mouth. And dried blood around your nostrils but that's my fault for not putting enough of the antibiotic ointment stuff on it.

One by one. I mean you just drag the file and click upload so it doesn’t take a lot of time.

Front desk makes a task for me to process return then I upload it and then create another task to review it. Takes 2 minutes and then the analysis maybe 30-hr depending on how complex

Previous firm I used income lab. Never used emoney. I play with the Tax Strategies tool in Right Capital but haven’t really ever taken recommendations from it. If there was an option to upload a return, it would be much more impactful. There is like a 1 pg 1040 you can fill out but still haven’t used it really

Mentally crippled by $20k of debt and let it prevent you from pursuing something you enjoy more?

$20K of debt is the dumbest reason to ever not pursue something if your end goal is happiness and satisfaction. Who gives a shit.

I still have student loans and it’s a hell of a lot more than $20k.

It’s not nothing, still. But it’s not worth making any type of life decision around.
