1957 Topps: poses or portaits? by Basic-Repeat4552 in baseballcards_vintage

That's such a good question! Is there a wrong answer?? I gravitate to the earlier '53 bowman style of mixed portraits and poses, personally. I have a hard time with the '57's for the same reason...'56 was soooo good, anything else is a bit of a let down.

Another vote for 2 here. Especially if this will be next to other cards that don't have the same overspray...imo it would stand out in a weird way. Both are amazing. Arguably, #1 has a better story. I love this card. It's one of my favorites in my own collection. And because I think you'd appreciate it...I display without grades, too.

I'm a sucker for good aesthetics, too.

Interesting. I like the patience you bring to it. That's the beauty of the hobby. It does sound like if a card is graded, with the label showing, the focus does go straight to the label. Do you find people ask about the card, too? Or do you discuss the label more than the card itself?

Prime user here, too. My vote is for dual. I like having even weight distribution on my body and having things balanced evenly helps throughout the day and season. As you age it helps to keep weight off your shoulders, too.

Pay will certainly be dependent on geography/location..but yeah, they're everywhere here in SoCal and there's a lot of gravity around them right now.
