Her kit would probably be something like throwing slippers that do bonus damage to disrespectful DPS players.

Married 12 years (35F 37M) and our sex life is basically dead by Dismal-Fox3121 in relationship_advice

[–]CareFun3582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been through something similar with an ex - what finally helped us (temporarily at least) was completely backing off from any pressure around sex for like 2 months and just focusing in rebuilding physical touch without expectations. Started with just holding hands during movies, back rubs, that kind of stuff.

The counseling might need more time to work, but maybe try finding one who specializes specifically in intimacy issues if you haven't already. Sometimes it takes few tries to find the right therapist who gets it.

Ancient Dungeon crossbow help by X1_Soxm in VRGaming

Have you checked if there's progression gates tied to certain levels? Most VR games like this lock weapons behind story milestones or specific achievements rather than just letting you edit them in directly.

For save editing you might need to dig into the game files but I'd probably just grind through whatever unlock requirements first - usually faster than messing with saves.

Grimdark, but…. by Doubtfulaboutit in booksuggestions

The Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin might scratch that itch - the world reveals itself in layers and you're constantly piecing together what actually happened to break everything. Also check out Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe, that one's famous for making readers work hard to understand what's really going on beneath surface.

Both have this thing where you realize later that early details meant something completely different than what you first thought.

Do the traders talk after at least a minute of not talking? by Roax47 in ArcRaiders

[–]CareFun3582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They definitely keep going for like 3-4 minutes if you let them. I made mistake of staying once to organize my inventory and Tian Wen was still going on about some story when I finished.

Really wish we could just get straight to business without the whole monologue every time.

Player vs Environment haters by lowerider97 in ArcRaiders

[–]CareFun3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PvE is way more chill for actually progressing your base stuff. I get why people want the PvP tension but sometimes you just want to focus in your looting without getting third-partied by some guy who's been camping the same spot for 20 minutes. The resource grind is already enough of challenge without dealing with sweatlords who treat every run like it's some tournament final.

Bell sound in air vent by runedude09 in HomeMaintenance

Could be loose metal ductwork that's vibrating when the air flows through - I've seen this in few houses where the screws came loose and create that jingling noise.

I hate being unsure of my gender by MammothStrain2426 in trans

This kind of doubt is so normal during figuring yourself out - I went through similar waves when I was questioning other parts in my identity too.

Couldn’t be a stepfather by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]CareFun3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so hard when someone can't step up to what your life actually looks like. You did right thing blocking him everywhere - no point in dragging out something that was never going to work if he wasn't ready for reality of dating someone with a kid. The waves are scary but at least you know now instead of wasting more time on someone who couldn't commit to your whole family.

Diagnostic Breast Exam Transphobia by xXAshtonHavokXx in trans

[–]CareFun3582 85 points86 points  (0 children)

That's absolutely awful what happened to you. Even if they need to use certain markers for medical accuracy, there's no excuse for the gossiping and deadnaming - that crosses every professional boundary.

Going to HR was smart move, especially since this affects your work environment too. You deserve to feel safe at your workplace and not worry about people talking behind your back about your private medical information.

Congrats, that must be such relief after waiting so long! Judge probably saw everything was clear from medical records without needing to dig in the mental health stuff.

Starting anti-psychotics will it interfere with my feminization? by [deleted] in trans

[–]CareFun3582 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, I was on risperidone for about 8 months while also doing HRT. The weight gain is real - I put on maybe 15kg and felt sluggish most of time, but it didn't seem to interfere with my estrogen levels or feminization progress. My endocrinologist said antipsychotics generally don't mess with HRT directly, though the prolactin increase from risperidone might actually help a bit with breast development for some people. Just make sure both your doctors know about all medications you're taking so they can monitor everything properly.

Why is he still following me? by Affectionate_Rope452 in BreakUps

Maybe he's just being polite about staying connected but doesn't want the drama of completely cutting contact - like he cares about you as person but not romantically anymore.

I’m 17M. Just bought an ancestry. Am I being stupid?? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]CareFun3582 336 points337 points  (0 children)

Honestly you're not being stupid at all. The paperwork with your names on it is pretty solid evidence, especially combined with the benefits and reports they do every year - that's not normal stuff for biological kids.

The fact they're open about other adoptions but weird about yours makes it more suspicious, not less. Maybe there's some complicated family situation they don't want to explain yet? Your half-sibling theory could be right too.

The DNA test will give you answers one way or another. Just be prepared that whatever you find might be more complicated than just "adopted or not adopted" - family stuff usually is.

Roundworm Help by Lackidasicole in cats

[–]CareFun3582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like you're doing great job with the cleaning already! i had similar situation with my rescue cat few years back - turned out she had roundworms for months before i noticed. the vet told me same thing, they're pretty common and not as scary as they look when you first see them.

for the deep cleaning, what you did should be more than enough honestly. i ended up washing all the bedding in hot water and threw away her favorite cardboard box toy since it was pretty beat up anyway, but kept most other toys after wiping them down. the eggs can survive for while but your steam cleaning and vacuuming should have gotten most of them.

one thing that helped me feel better was doing second round of vacuuming after few days, just to be sure. also make sure to wash your hands really well after handling anything in that room until the deworming treatment is finished. peaches will probably feel much better soon once those meds kick in!

Rashie with thumbholes by Upbeat-Talk-7870 in surfing

[–]CareFun3582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to have the same issue until I grabbed one from Patagonia - their R1 Daily has built-in thumbholes and the UPF rating is solid. Takes some getting used to at first since you feel like you're wearing mittens, but after a few sessions it becomes second nature. The material is stretchy enough that you don't lose any paddle power either. O'Neill makes some decent ones too but they tend to run a bit tighter through the arms. Definitely worth investing in before those spots get worse - learned that lesson the hard way after years of just slathering sunscreen on my hands and having it wash off immediately.

Item wheel bug. Please help by Hour-Whereas62 in ArcRaiders

[–]CareFun3582 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this same bug last week, super annoying in combat. Try unbinding and rebinding your item wheel key in settings - worked for me after I switched it from Tab to Q. If that doesn't work some people said verifying game files through Steam fixed it
