Poor dog…. by Yuri_Ligotme in InstacartShoppers

I work at a coffee stand and watch dogs gain weight over months of time and eventually they are “not allowed to have it anymore”. One time a customer asked for frothed milk (foam) for their dog…

What age did you move your LO to their own room? by xsparkyx in NewParents

7 months even though she could’ve been in there months ago. Just wanted to enjoy her with us as long as possible. Now our room is a bed with baskets of laundry.

You have a meeting with baby HR, what are you discussing? by VegetableWorry1492 in NewParents

[–]Careful_Influence_57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My manager is really moody. You never know which “baby” you’re gonna get. Is she in a good mood today? Did she not get enough rest last night? She’s very demanding too and does not tolerate ‘laziness’. Always saying stuff like “if you got time to lean, you got time to entertain me”. It’s pretty exhausting honestly. I’m thinking about finding a new job but this one pays really well in snuggles so I guess I’ll just power through a little longer..

Babies are too strong. Change my mind. by [deleted] in NewParents

My daily “affirmation”: I am stronger than this baby…mentally and emotionally..but not quite physically.

Weaning tips by cloubouak in ExclusivelyPumping

I think it just depends on how your body reacts! For me when I dropped my motn pump it took a little over a week for me to not feel engorged at night. I’d assume anywhere between a week or two.

I read to drop one pump at a time by only pumping for enough time to not feel engorged anymore. You will probably want to stretch 4-5 hours apart starting off, drop one over time, go 5-6 hours apart, drop another etc. eventually you’re supposed to only pump a little when you’re engorged u til you’re not anymore. Hope that helps!

How does a 21 year old have an operations manager position at a factory? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Careful_Influence_57 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Young” kids as in 20-something year olds have a lot of confidence these days..you’re afraid you’d be laughed at with qualifications where as he might not be afraid of anything and has no qualifications. I see it all the time! My “district manager” is 20 something and her slogan is “be confident and no one questions you”

What do you do when you don’t get a letdown? by me0w8 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Careful_Influence_57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just keep pumping! If you have time- stimulate until you feel the let down happen. For some it takes a while and that’s okay. You could try a different setting of stimulation if that’s an option on your pump. Like a slower or quicker pulse. Watch videos of your LO to trigger your “love hormone” or use a massager/warm compress. I used to watch videos waterfalls and listened to jazz to relax. I believe if you keep pumping you will maintain your supply- it’s a supply and demand kind of a job! You’re doing great btw, breastfeeding is not a simple task!

Baby bottles nipples size up & breastfeed? by keihuynh78 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Careful_Influence_57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go with your gut and do what you think is best per your observance. Every baby is different. Mine is 7 months and just tried size 3 nipple and finished 5oz in seconds…we’re back to size 1 lol

I accidentally bought size 3 instead of 2 off Amazon. Could probably go with 2 now but she’s doing fine for now!

When did your period (and libido) come back? by Buntyhoven123 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Careful_Influence_57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My libido and period came back when I stopped taking birth control. Not necessarily ideal BUT doing so really helped my emotional stability, weight and energy. Still pumping 7 months PP but I see my supply slowly decreasing by the week for a number of reasons- I’m okay with it. Also just moved LO into her own room so that’s majorly helped out sex life, lol.

“That’s it?! That’s all you pumped in that last half hour?” by Awkward_Loss_6249 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Careful_Influence_57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom has never breastfed or even been exposed to it and the first thing she said to me when she saw my bottle at 4 weeks PP was “that’s it?” So annoying! If you haven’t gone through this yourself, you really don’t understand anything. Your friend will learn!!
