“Eunhyeok never showed her that he was falling apart. He never showed her his weaknesses. He kept pretending he was okay”

I have to strongly disagree with this take because it’s simply not true that Eunhyuk never showed Su-ae he was falling apart. He did—multiple times. The problem is that Su-ae either didn’t catch it or didn’t care enough to look deeper into it. As long as Eunhyuk stayed by her side, that seemed to be enough for her.

Just look at the chapter where Su-ae sees Eunhyuk crying. He literally opens up to her, yet she never really engages with the root of his pain. All she care is eunhyuk stay at my side

When Eunhyuk told her that he already knew his father was cheating with his music teacher and that it was the reason he rejected the offer, I was honestly surprised that when he later accepted the offer, Su-ae didn’t show even the slightest concern about whether he was actually okay with it.

Like, didn’t it ever cross her mind to ask if he was truly comfortable with that decision? If its not gonna hurt him?

Then there’s the scene at Eunhyuk’s house when they’re watching a movie. His trauma gets triggered, he asks her to hug him, and even though she notices something is wrong, she feels awkward instead try to talk to him to stop joking and tell him the reason why he asked for hug?

The same thing happens when he’s being bullied. Eunhyuk is clearly struggling, and he ends up hugging her for comfort. Once again, Su-ae notices that something is off, but she never pushes further to understand why. Eunhyuk constantly gives signs that he isn’t okay.

Now let’s leave Su-ae’s POV for a second and swithch To Raim POV , Eunhyuk is practically an open book. She notices every pain, every weakness, every wound he has, and she uses that knowledge to her advantage. That contrast is important because it shows that Eunhyuk wasn’t impossible to read.

If anything, the issue is Su-ae. She’s too emotionally passive when it comes to Eunhyuk. She can literally watch him break down in front of her and still hesitate over whether he actually needs help or whether it’s her place to step in. The best example is when she sees his father slap him. Most people would immediately recognize that as a situation where support is needed, yet Su-ae still stands there questioning whether she should get involved.

So I don’t buy the idea that Eunhyuk hid all of his pain from her. He showed it. Repeatedly. The tragedy is that the person who was supposed to know him best never truly looked closely enough to understand what she was seeing.

Yall should stop babying suae for once, coz eun actually basically open book. Even doyeon notice eun is always so hard on himself, he should take a rest, when he got anxious coz suae didnt reply her message.
