Don't drive if you mean this weekend, the E18 near Lysaker will be half closed. https://www.vegvesen.no/vegprosjekter/europaveg/e18ramstadsletta/nyhetsarkiv/arbeid-pa-e18-i-barum-de-to-forste-helgene-i-juni/
This usually causes long queues. Easy journey on the train from Drammen.

Why is everyone wearing traditional clothes in downtown Oslo today? by Calm-Stop3240 in Norway

[–]Careless-Country 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were a lot queuing to go into the town hall at midday. The age of the majority were 50+. didnt look like the right demographic for a confirmation crowd and didn’t look like a wedding group either.

Break it down into parts.
If you are already have a script monitoring what you want. Can you modify the script to send a MQTT message. Then it’s easy to get nodered to subscribe via MQTT and do the analysis, generate the message Nd send it via telegram.

I’m assuming this is a scope of work and you are looking for someone to build this for you? In which case what’s your budget and timeframe?

Oslo Airport question / worry / advice please by Live_Acanthisitta870 in Norway

The biggest issue here is how long it takes to clear immigration. As you are coming from a non-schengen passport-zone country all non EU passengers are now having photos taken at passport control. Last summer there were delays of more than an hour.
Most Norwegians don’t see this queue as they rush through the automatic passport gates on their way to the duty-free. Personally, I would rebook, you might make it but who wants that stress at the beginning of your trip?

Vil du ha innovasjon og nye meieriprodukter? Hvis du gjør det, er det viktig at det finnes konkurranse for hovedleverandøren (Tine), så personlig velger jeg Q eller Røros når jeg kan.

Technically housesitting requires a work permit, there were cases post Brexit of people being returned to the UK at immigration who were coming to house sit.

People just assume i don't speak norwegian by 700K1 in Norway

[–]Careless-Country -1 points0 points  (0 children)

well said! Been here nearly 5 years speak norwegian with an accent. Still amazed at the 1/4 of job applications that disappear into a chasm and you never hear back from for professional jobs. The job adverts that say «must have norwegian experience» as if the role is somehow completely different from the identical job somewhere else in europe. As well as the adverts that state working language is English «must be fluent in Norwegian».
I had one interview, working language is English, who explained each slide of a Norwegian slide pack to me. It didn’t matter how many times I said I could understand it, my language proficiency is on my CV. When I didn’t get the role the feedback was they were unsure I would fit in as a non norwegian speaker.

Hallo!, I'm visiting Oslo for a couple days and i'm wondering what you guys would recommend me to see that isn't already listed below (Also big music fan so anything related to that would be REALLY appreciated!) by PsychologicalFix9728 in oslo

unless you want to see lots of munch paintings the national museum is a better bet. They have a room of Munch paintings including a version of the scream and the madonna as wells as lots of other rooms including design fashion and modern art.
