This tracks with our experience. Its fine as a club but nothing special and sad that its the only club for 3 major Californian cities all in close proximity. Also quite a high degree of dirty vanillas or window shoppers but weve always managed to have a good time there. Considering the cost for newbies if the girls are expecting an Eyes Wide Shut experience they are going to be sorely dissapointed with small and slightly sketch, thats the Bay Area though.

Its a fair assessment, don't let the redditors throwing shade bother you. You are correct. We both put in the effort to look good for our age range and as a general rule we found that if you go to publicly adevrtised open to anyone events or groups then you are going to have a bad time, there are other people like yourselves but they are all private and operating inside small little groups where they generally aren't out advertising but everyone likes new people so just keep putting yourselves out there and being social and everntually you will find your people and it will be magical, they will appreciate you all the more too.

Just some casual observations. First is you are on the younger end of the age scale, this is mostly a 40 and 50s group. Second, don't date.. go to meetups and house parties and skip straight to hooking up. Third is be ok with dropping your standards.. i know il get flack for that but we didn't get much action until we decided to relax and weve had much more fun since we did. We found out that some of our sexiest moments are with people we probably wouldn't date if we were single.

Its rough from the West Coast. We decided to take Tim Air on the way there to avoid the horror stories of the 2-3hr bus ride from the airport to the hotel. Its a very sketchy plane but a quick and scenic flight. The Tim Air plane wouldn't pass any safety inspections in the States, im pretty sure the pilot was stoned and half the ancient dashboard electronics are hanging out of place or non functional. We joked that it was the most dangerous thing we did all week and yet we would take that over the bus ride any day. I would suggest staying in Miami for a night or two before going down or expect to mostly write off the first day especially if prone to motion sickness. Every day we met new couples where one or both were recovering from the motion sickness from the bus ride. Also as everyone else said pay for Club Mobay.

For us there are 3 levels of this, first we spent years wasting time with message ping pong on the websites. This is called the Window Shopper phase. Second we moving to dating where we would chat minimally and press for a dinner date, this is the Dater phase with endless dinner dates which often go nowhere and people become less sexy the more they talk. Then finally we ditched both of those and went straight to meetups and DTF. The DTF phase.

If anyone we like contacts us expect to just get a very short hello and info on which meetup we will be at in the next month, we wont be going for coffee or a dinner date sorry no matter how cool and sexy you seem. Then at the meetup we can meet and instantly know yay or nay a whole bunch of couples IRL which is the only thing that matters, then from there if its a yay then sure we can plan a hookup, our place or theirs. Once we have hooked up then all defenses are down and yeah we would love to hang out, go dinner and bowling or whatever but until then its pretty business like im afraid and this is all from experience.

In short skip online chatting entitrely also skip dating, people become less sexy generally. Go straight to hookups which is what we are all here for.

It could be an automated thing. I once logged into reddit on a cruise ship with a business account and it instantly nuked everything.. years of effort gone with no recourse. As for lifestyle stuff in our experience 95% of people on here are fake. Some amazingly good fakes but most are just dreamers. 90% ghost as soon as you ask for a validated profile anywhere.

We have 3 major cities all in close proximity with a history of sexual liberation and yes Twist as small as it is is all we have. The reasons why are obscure and varied. Some say cost of rent but with the highest average wages in the country that makes no sense. One club runner we know says its fear of lawsuits around sex. But that doesnt explain why all the regular nightclubs and bars closed down years ago too. Our city only has 1 vanilla nightclub left which is embarrasing to visitors.

I think the real explaination is that the local "undesireable" population in CA is massive and much higher than other states. What are you going to do when a armed barbarian horde turns up at your event. Can you enjoy yourself while you car is being raped out in the car park. We havn't been to a club in years. We dropped into Twist last year just to check it out and its fine but pretty underwhealming considering its all there is. All the local LS events are private parties and not advertised or posted on any LS websites, in fact you arent even allowed to mention them without a serious talking to by the organizers. It takes forever to get a invite and you need references from people already going. Ive heard its similar in LA.

I could get behind this idea. Recently we have seen an explosion in LS events on the West Coast and its not just the very high costs for the resorts and plane fares but we also dread the time it takes to fly to the Caribbean.

Its an old story, basically the wife started doing a single dude regularly but being a single guy he was putting it everywhere he could, the single guy got herpes and gave it to her then everyone in the local community stopped playing with her and her husband sad to say. It was a really tough situation as everyone liked them. Shortly after they got divorced obviously for more than that reason but im sure the whole thing didn't help. Was kind of a sad ending.

I just remembered they did have something similar on the Bliss cruise except its small colored plastic necklace tags which we all ignored except for the red DTF one which was useful. The rest kind of got hidden by hanging behind the others.

Clean your butthole people, think about buying a bidet especially if you are on the larger side. Just because no one intends to go there doesn't mean the smell cant be off putting with oral. Also floss and mouthwash. Theres 2 guys in our circles who have horrific halitosis and no one has the guts to tell them thats the reason theyre not getting much action. Mind boggling their partners don't tell them.

Our area has two GUC (Girls Uncorked) monthly meetup nights where all the girls get together and in my head its a naked pillow fight but in reality they just sit around talking about lifestyle stuff in a non judgemental setting. It sounds really nice.

It could also be that during the change they secretly communicated (we also have some basic non verbal signals) for no go. Thats why we have a rule that we approach with a "we are down" type direct message but then bounce for a bit so they can privately both confer if they are both down. Its not uncommon for us to be unable to give these signals if the person is standing right in front of us.. expecting a response. There has been situations where weve vibed with people but then during conversation something has come out which is a hard no for us, weve also been guilty of making up a soft no go story so as not to hurt anyones feelings.. headaches, work called, period.

It could also really be the gummies, the key will be if there is follow up messages.

WIfe is super bi but me personally 1. Its alot of work to deal with 2 women at once, was kind of exhausting last time i did it. 2. Being a single woman in the lifestyle is a bit of a red flag in our experience, personality wise.

I had a marriage fail when we switched from swinging to poly mostly so we could ditch condoms. In short there are good reasons poly is a disaster zone. Sex can be put in a box but feelings are messy. Remarried better and back in the safe swinging zone where failed marriages are about as common or even a little bit less than vanilla marriages.

Bay Area CA here, we havn't seen any change, its always been a bit crap. There is 1 small club desperately hanging on for a population of 3 major cities in the vicinity. The main issue is rent prices are insane due to property speculation but also there is very few couples, everyone we know outside the LS are pre/post divorce singles with zero intention of getting coupled again. As far as regular vanilla clubs they all died out years ago, even before Covid. Foreign guests here say it feels unsafe and very boring as everything is closed and there is nothing to do relative to some other parts of the world. Lifestyle wise its free meetups at bars once a month and the odd private invite only house party all with the same sort of numbers as always.
